I'd say he's looked alot better than Goetze during this seasons champions league group stages.

How much do you reckon he'd go for mate? And does he play as an out & out striker for Koln? Any time I've seen him for Germany he's been out on the left. :?

Saw this on his wikipedia too…
Köln created a website where people were able to buy pixels of an image of Lukas Podolski for €25 per 8x8 pixel square, in order to gather €1 million to reduce the cost of the transfer.
:?

Surprised we haven't resorted to doing this yet. Imagine how much the club could have recouped selling pixels of Gervinho’s forehead.

Could do one of those advent claendars on that fucker! :D

Back to Podolski, and I guess FC Koln woudn't let him go for any less than £15m. Apart from anything else, he's the main man at the club and they would have to placate their fans with a big wad of cash, and even that wouldn't be enough.

He generally plays as a central striker for his club, as opposed to out on the left for Germany as you rightly state. Of course with Germany he has top quality team mates, and at FC Koln his team mates are fairly mediocre.

Is he worth the money and would he be able to settle in London? Well, difficult questions to answer. I would be happy to see him at Arsenal, although that could be clouded by the fact that almost any fucker has to be better than the shit we have outside of Van Persie.

:?

I wouldn't be too disappointed if we tried to get Demba Ba from Newcastle (they wouldnt sell anyway) but he is looking very very good at the moment. He reminds me a bit of Henry at times.

I agree with you Ba is quality, but he can't move clubs in January according to the rules. He's a top striker and belongs to a bigger club than the barcodes. They got him on a free as well, amazing.

His compatriot Papiss Cissé is a fantastic striker as well, currently playing for Freiburg in Germany. Either of them would do but I'd like Cissé because: 1) He's not cup tied for the CL, 2) He's exactly what we need as he's a pure goalscorer, 3) He's likely to leave Freiburg as they're a bag of shite and relegation bound.

From The Guardian:

Ba has a history of problems with his left knee. Leading surgeons advised other clubs, including Stoke, to avoid signing what one termed a "ticking timebomb" but, able to recruit Ba on a free transfer from West Ham, Pardew gambled. So far at least, Newcastle's meticulous medical team have kept a reportedly degenerative condition well in check.

Ask Baba, he seems to know the exact salary of each Arsenal player... never seen a source, though :?

I think Baba had Squillaci on an eye watering £70k??? (could be wrong about that, though)

Lille apparently want Coquelin.

Player plus cash for Hazard?

Would be daft.

Coquelin developing nicely, ahead of Frimpong and Eastmond in my estimation.

Hazard a hot prospect but unproven in England.

Rather part exchange Squillachi, Rosicky, Diaby, Arshavin and Chamakh.
