Chippy reckons we're signing a striker

I'm not holding my breath - if anyone is signed it will probably be one of two types - the usual young, unheard of type, or older, past his prime type.

Heart says Henry coming back would be great.

Head says otherwise - at his age he would be injury prone and well out of practice at playing at the top level. Would also be a bit of a sad reflection on the clubs current status, scouting network and transfer policy.

Would love henry to come back as a coach, maybe on a player/coach basis incase anything happens to RVP (Henry > shitmac any day)

Although I'd prefer a top quality striker signed, we all know the chances are slim! None of us know what Henry would be like in the prem again, my head says hed flop but I'd like to think he'd still
Offer alot! And like others have said, a shit old Henry is way better than park and chammy!

Agree with that. Just the thought of an injured RvP and having to watch the Camel and Super Quality together up front is just too bad to think about

Welcome back Thierry - one things for sure. We know he'll genuinely give 100% for the shirt

Agreed, even if he doesn't play week in week out his prescence and influence on the side can only be a good thing. Just look at how Campbell did when we brought him back. I'd still play him ahead of Park and Chamakh any day of the week.

And if you don't want to see Henry in an Arsenal shirt again, what the hell is wrong with you?!

I think it would only be a good thing if Henry were to sign for us again in January. He may have been a poor influence on the young players that were coming through when he was in his last season with us but by now I think he would be more encouraging and would want to help develop the likes of Chamberlain and Walcott.

He knows that Van is the man at the moment and would only join us as a squad member probably only until the end of the season.

Having said that, I'd still prefer Wenger to bring in a long term quality player, and Goetze is that man. Break the bank and get him in Wenger!

(Very wishful thinking here!)

Wenger has been quoted as saying that Henry has a training camp with the Red Bulls which starts on 15th January, so if that's true and he's under contract it would be difficult to see it coming off.

Really hope it's not henry, as he's a shadow of what he was. But yeah we need a striker quite badly

I'd love Henry back, Campbell and Lehmann done a job despite what the doubters said.

But Henry for like 3 weeks isnt as good as a reliable forward being signed.

Bobby Zamore is available, bring him in NOW

Great for our Youth policy. Think we might as well look at bringing in Wrighty back too. Perhaps some DNA advancement could get Bastin back up top too?
Henry is a legend but is playing in the US for a reason. He's past it. People seem to have forgotten how much money we've made over summer. And Henry is the best we can do? Everything done on the cheap by this club. Like I said, bring in Dixon and Keown as squad players too.
Seaman can replace Scezney when injured too...

Dixon and keown would probably walk into the team  ...and in all seriousness I'd rather have seaman over the clown and flappy any day of the week!

Maybe Joel Campbell's got his work permit early?

He'd be like a new signing.
