Chippy reckons we're signing a striker

Martin Koewn was on "final score" on Saturday afternoon, and was convinced Henry would be returning.
Personally I think it would be a big gamble, Wenger however might see it as the cheap signing that might just get us a top 4 finish.
I also think Podolski would be perfect for the Premiership.

If Henry is our signing to "secure" top 4 football then I really do despair. Brilliant back in the day it would be an insult to a legend to tarnish his reputation by sticking him in with this mediocre lot. Henry in his pomp would still have a hard time playing with some of this lot.

If we re-signed Henry it would say everything about our ambition and imagination in the transfer market.

Henry is a legend but is playing in the US for a reason. He's past it. People seem to have forgotten how much money we've made over summer. And Henry is the best we can do? Everything done on the cheap by this club. Like I said, bring in Dixon and Keown as squad players too.
Seaman can replace Scezney when injured too...
TBH I think Seaman would do a better job than the other bunch of Semen who call themselves goalies! (flappy = spunk bubble. almunia = smelly pre-cum juice and mannone = cheesey knob smell)

We don't need another striker. In January when Gerv and Cham go off to catch maleria, we have the totally unproven Park and the vastly inexperienced Ox to fill in. Not forgetting the Lazy Russian.

Arsene Knows.

What do people think of Bobby Zamora coming in?

I think we could get him. He's certainly far better now than when he was at Spurs and Wham. He proved he isn't a joke in the Europa League run they had. I too once thought he was shite, but I think he could be a good signing.

Demba Ba looks good.

Sorry but if we sign Zamora then I give up. That would be the definition of "no ambition". He might be a decent player but only for a midtable side. Never Arsenal material, NEVER, unless our ambition from now on is to finish midtable.

Bobby Zamora ffs

Depressing.

Put it this way, im not so sure it'll be a long term deal, Joel Campbell is the one, shame we couldnt have got his work permit, looks a great talent and would only have been improving leading up to the ACN months when required.

Possibly an "older" striker on a 2-3 year deal or a loan signing of some sort me thinks.
