Best Prem goal ever

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Best Prem goal ever

Post by Chippy »

Grauniad are having a poll. They've put 50 goals up. 9 are Arsenal. Vote early and vote often.

Doesn't have Pires vs. Southampton, so it's clearly a waste of time.

Edit: Or Pires vs. Aston Villa for that matter.

The Dennis v Toon. Vision, genius, balance, touch, poise, arrogance (in the right way), imperious skill, strength. Best goal ever. 8)

Try and do it sometime. I've tried it a few times indoors and out. Ain't managed it yet. Ended up on me arse twice too... One of my team mates keeps taking the piss; "You gonna try that Bergkamp thing again today, huh?" he sniggers.

Don't tell Les Ferdinand. He maintains that it was all a big accident.

I voted for Dennis but if I'm honest, out of all the ones from the list that I can remember, I'd have to say Paolo Di Canio against Wimbledon is my favourite.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!! :banghead:

That fucking idiot. Hairy Hands Keys used to bug the shit outa me with that too. Every time they showed it he'd smile that sarcastic arsehole smile of his and say "Did he mean it?"

Dicko was brilliant the day he was on with him and answered "Of course he meant it! This is Dennis Bergkamp we are talking about. He'd do stuff like that every single day in training." 8)

Lee Dixon's own goal at home to Coventry (I think??) was undoubtedly the best chipped finish in Prem history
