Underhill last night, lack of respect, awareness, discipline

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

yeahbaby I think you are missing the point. Yes bad language can be heard at every match up and down the country. And if you take kids to a game they will hear swear words - but this was in a tea-bar at half-time!

You have to make allowances or people. We all do or say stupid things from time to time (or frequently  ).

BUT if you are lucky enough to be a professional footballer. At a football match. You ought to, at least, look professional.

As Sid and Goose pointed out....if George Graham was manager and heard that sort of shit going on.....he'd have had their bollocks on a skewer. Quite rightly so.

Who said "Remember who you are, what you are, and who you represent"? Or something like that.

It's all about respect. Respect others. they will respect you back.

I'm sick and tired of third rate footballers thinking they are king shit. And first rate footballers thinking they are complete gods.

Eastmond is a complete dickhead and a terrible footballer to boot. What the fuck is he still doing at the club?

With all due respect and love for Rocky...it wasn't him who said that famous line first.

Course it wasn't, but as far as I know it was him that really made it famous amongst Gooners.

Foul mouths

Post by Herd »

Ive been at various do's with Wright and he was always top class,at one testimonial dinner he had his starter on one table main course on the next and so on and so forth.
Went round each table and had all the photos and autographs anyone wanted.
Of course everyone has their bad days .
Unfortunately my brother in law was no amused by his antics on Saturday.
Despite being wrapped up in his winter coat and silly hat when standing with the junior gunners who were all in their Arsenal kits he swore very loudly about how fucking cold it is and they should fucking hurry up so he could get back in the fucking warm, not very clever but lets face it ,he isn't .
On another sore point the Kids when they came off the pitch were not given anywhere to change into their normal clothes so basically changed by the tunnel or in the toilets !
On top of that they wernt even given a hot drink to warm their little cockles afterwards, poor show Arsenal!

As for Eastmond and Frimpong ,I would have pulled them on it there and then.
They clearly have no respect for their coaches which isn't right .

"F**k off man, I'll f**k you up, I'll kill you, get your own"

"You're a baller"

Black kids in London love to talk 'Gangster' & american slang

White kids like to sound like blacks

That's what gets my goat. Give it 10 years & 'cockney' will no longer exist.

Eastmond is an arsehole, not too impressed with Frimpong either.

Does it surprise me though? Not one little bit..........

There are actually a lot more complex sociolinguistic trends going on here than simply 'sounding black'.

It's also unlikely that Cockney will entirely cease to exist. Even comparing the way that Cockneys spoke 50 years ago to now shows a huge variation. A lot of 90/100 year old Cockney Londoners at present share only a few features with what a modern Cockney accent would sound like to us. Things will always change and innovate.

Some American words also might kick about for a bit, but then quickly fall out of favour the next.

I don't like the arrogance of players. I'm just pleased I haven't experience it close at hand - yet!

My son was lucky enough to be one of those JG (how awesome is that!) and although it was freezing he was so excited he didnt feel it! He quickly put his tracksuit on over his kit and ran round to his seat. I guess they do it all quickly as the game has already kicked off.

On the other point I know 8 year old girls who play for Arsenal and even at that age there are strict guidelines as to how they behave in public when they are representing the Arsenal.

I received this response back from Arsenal . I copied the original thread in my email and expressed my disgust.

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to Email us with your feedback. I am really sorry that the experience posted on a forum is relating to the Arsenal players. As you will be aware as a supporter, the Club always tries to act with class and clearly the below is not the case.

I have forwarded on the Email to the relevant managers to follow up. Obviously as this is a forum download, I am unable to clarify or indeed advise on what may happen, but please be assured that this matter will be reviewed.

Once again, many thanks for the Email.

Kind regards Jane

One more thing, went to a training session at London Colney a couple of years ago, cost about £400n at a charity auction. Met alot of the team & the most arrogant, rude & big headed prick - Diaby. By miles.

Whilst we stood with him, Walcott, Wilshere, Rosicky & a couple of othes, my brother said to him "I dunno why you've got the attitude mate, you're the worst player here"

Very awkward silence, still Diaby barely blinked, probably couldn't hear us talking with his oversized headphones on!
