Not as a starter maybe but would have been a far better option to use from the bench than Arshavin. How many times did he give the ball away when he came on? The young lad is full of confidence every time i've seen him play and can shoot with either foot. Can't understand why he's not even on the bench, for me it's a no brainer. It's not as if we're overrun with attacking options is it!Red Member wrote:are people seriously suggesting that he should have played yesterday?
he has a bit of potential but at the moment gives the ball away too easily.
no use for yesterday.
^ This. No one thinks he is the finished product, but as an option to bring on? Deffo better than AA23 or Chamakh. Coming on late in games like yesterday is the best way to blood him in initially.BRAZILLIANT 19 wrote:Not as a starter maybe but would have been a far better option to use from the bench than Arshavin. How many times did he give the ball away when he came on? Nearly equalised?? You mean the toe poke, scuffed shot that ended up further away from goal than when it started? I'm sorry but have you not seen the Ox play at all? I think there must be two Oxlade-Chamberlain's because you're obviously watching a different one to the rest of us.
No I am not on the wind up.BRAZILLIANT 19 wrote:Are you for real?Red Member wrote:Arshavin nearly equalised yesterday.

he does give the ball away a bit too easily at times. the difference is that he offers a THREAT. when he has the ball, the opposition knows his technique and ability is enough to make him go past the defenders, and he's got probably the most vicious right foot in this team. he shoots well with his left as well.Red Member wrote:No I am not on the wind up.BRAZILLIANT 19 wrote:Are you for real?Red Member wrote:Arshavin nearly equalised yesterday.

as I go to all the Carling Cup games I have probably seen young Alex more than most. As I have said he does have potential but at the moment he does give the ball away a little easily. That is why Wenger doesn't risk him in PL games right now.
He played probably his best match for Arsenal in the CC match against City so he is definitely improving. I reckon he may play in the FA Cup games in January and if he does ok there he might start being used as a sub in PL games.
And Arshavin doesnt? No one is denying that AOC is very raw but he cannot be any worse than Arshavin and Chamakh at the moment.Red Member wrote:No I am not on the wind up.BRAZILLIANT 19 wrote:Are you for real?Red Member wrote:Arshavin nearly equalised yesterday.
