What's your source for those figures?

Three players" who literally bring fuck all to the table. They're not fit for purpose either of them. Add Bendtner and Denilson and there's over £290k a week in wages right there. Wasted.
If those wage figures are correct then I cannot argue with a word of that. It's been said on here before and the AKB's hate to hear it; we waste alot of money on poor and mediocre players, that is the main difference between us and alot of other clubs financially.
But it's the same old stuff. Arshavin was clearly a good signing when we got him but he's eventually lost all sense of form and needs moving on - obviously in order for that to happen someone needs to be interested in signing him. I'm certain a number of clubs will be after him.

Chamakh was signed on the basis that he was a good player. Like Arshavin, he started well and has faded away and is of very little use when he comes on. He will be shifted as soon as someone offers to take him off our hands.

I don't believe the wages quoted as usual but when players don't work out it's easy to point the finger.

I'm not happy they turn out to be mediocre but it's not always a given that spending big money will bring anything more.
But surely the point is we have a manager that has continually rewarded poor performances from players like Diaby, Song, Vela, Denilson, Bendtner, Eboue etc with renewed improved contracts. They have failed - he has given them a pay rise!

A blind man could see these players were/are not PL quality and should have been shipped out years ago, but Wenger couldn't. He persists with them long after the fans, other managers and the media all have realised the players aren't good enough.

We waste huge amounts of money paying average and poor players what quality players would expect to earn.
There is also the factor of forcing an object consisting of four equal sides into spherical holes.

How many years did Diaby spend lining up on the left wing of a 4-4-2, Bendtner the right side of the front 3, Arshavin the left side, Walcott right side of a four man midfield and a three man strikeforce, Song being given the strike it rich license to roam (top, middle or bottom), Eboue anywhere along the right hand side.

And it don't end there. What was that thing he tried to pass off as a goalkeeper for about 3 seasons. I don't even think it was a human let alone a professional football player.

Every year France Football publish the European salaries based on agents, fees etc. And AS in Spain also publish them for each club. I am using last year's figures.

DB10 is bang on its not signing these players. It's the persisting with the tossers when the whole world knows how shite they are. Example: why did Wenger turn down the £10 mil from Galatassaray for Diaby? Why, after the whole world could see what a crock he is, was Rosicky given a pay rise and improved deal? Why was Alex Song given a new deal after the Portsmouth game last year, even though he'd had about four good games in six months? Why was Vela given a pay- rise even though AW knew he was never gonna make it for us? Why was Diaby given a new improved deal at the same time as Song, despite disgusting performances in between injuries? What justification is there for Vito Mannone also getting a new improved deal a year back? What's he ever done? How about Henri Lansbury? A new lay hike for what? How many chances has he been given?

And spunking £14 mil on Oxfam Chambermaid yet persisting with Diaby (when fit), Walcott and Gervinho? Serious?

Rigsby mate of course im obsessing with Spuds. They play better football with us, they have much better players, a stronger squad, far less money than us and are seen as superior by most neutrals. Oh and they will be seen as a more attractive option to join by big players than we will.

They keep Modric and Bale and add to their squad.

We sell Cesc on the cheap and Nasri, and dream of 4th. Out of the title race in September.

You feel?

I'm not disagreeing with that - but we don't know what sort of money these players are on! Plus most of those listed aren't at the club at the moment.

Yeah but you've also said in the past that Everton and Newcastle have more valuable squads than Arsenal.

Kiwomya my apologetic friend you should save the arguing in future and just insert "it isn't Arsene's fault". No matter the discussion. And no, that isn't exactly what I said but I'm happy to go over some of your all time classic Wenger bullshit bingo excuses if that's the path you want to take...

As far as I'm aware the only one that is actually gone is Comedy Eboue. The others are still here or only away on loan and may return to fail again. And get another pay rise... :(

rigsby wrote:Baba you are fuckign obsessed with the Scum. Its a long bloody season. We've lost one game in a very good run, and should have got something out of that game. Yes we have certain players who aren't good but what team hasn't?

I'ld satillback us to finish in the top 4, I've seen nothing from Chelsea or Liverpool to suggest we can't get in it.

The only thing though risgby, is that I would argue that we lost one game after a run of easy fixtures. Yes I know we still have to win these games (which is something we failed to do earlier in the season) but the fact is that with the exception of the chavs game these are all fixtures that we should be expecting to win anyway and almost 60% were against teams in the bottom half of the table

Get some MEN in who can control the ball.

Duncan Ferguson, now there was an attacker to admire. Wrighty as well. Tough skilful forwards with power, who scored goals.

Thats what we need.

Send the 2 runners of to the Athletics stadium to practise for 2012. It's all they are good at. Its the same shite all season, if it wasnt for Van Persie carrying them two shitebags we would be in the bottom half.

Gervinho is average , anyone who watched him for Lille or Ivory Coast would know it.

Absolutely - I cannot for the life of me understand how people keep defending these doughnuts  I have said for some time now that neither has the brains to be a top level footballer, neither of them track back enough and both are too easily squeezed out of a game far too often. I dont know if gervinho looked good playing infrance or not but I am guessing that if he did it was cos of his speed in a slower paced league - over here it is always a high paced tempo so when you face teams that have similar attributes then you need to bring something else to the table to make a difference and gervinho has nothing else in his locker. I would love to know who scouts these fcukers and what are they looking for in potential signings cos it sure as hell cant be much
Even Kolo beat him for speed on several occassions in the first half, I don't think I've seen a more one footed player in my life, totally useless and it's not a time factor either, he's just not good enough for us.

Baba gets the award for the 'first person to make me spit my coffee out in laughter' this morning for

"The Ivorian Tony Daley"

amusing as I was about to draw a similar comparison to Franz Carr but definitely more Daleyesque in the hair department. Mind you I did see Tony Daley rip us apart in a 2-3 loss to the Villa in the late 80s......waiting for Gervinho to reverse the trick on them on Weds night :D

Sorry DB10.....I think its how "you tell them". I've never met Baba, but I've just got this mental image of him furiously typing away in disgust, and amongst the abuse and expletives you get the odd little gem like this thrown in for good measure

Maybe you need to rant a bit more !
