Sweaties charged again by uefa

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Sweaties charged again by uefa

Post by goonersid »

Celtic face another uefa charge, for their fans displaying an offensive banner and an assault on a steward at their recent game against Udinese.
I do hope they ban the fuckers from next seasons competitions.
And to think there are those who would welcome this filth into the Premier League.

Is it a fact that both glasgow clubs are making a real effort to stamp out sectarian chanting at their games ? Has been widely reported that they have been doing so (papers showed a banner by celtic fans opposing such conduct) so what more can the clubs do ? If the little lesbo returns to play against us for citeeh later this season will we heed the request from wenger to show the little *word censored* some respect or will we give the prick all the abuse he deserves ? I know that they are different issue's but my point is that I am not sure what more clubs can do so making them play behind closed doors makes more sense to me than fining them

I'm not a fan of Celtic by any means but fair play to 'em for sticking it to UEFA, one of the most corrupt governing bodies there is, responsible for fucking up our sport & turning it into nothing more than a cash cow to make the rich richer. Their fans made a nice atmosphere with a bit of pyro & stuck two fingers up at Platini & his buddies. Nobody got hurt & suddenly Lennon & co are declaring these people not real fans despite travelling over 1000 odd miles to the game & threatening to ban them for life?

Why are Celtic not sticking up for their fans? Scared UEFA will punish them?

Fuck UEFA.

Why were they annoyed at UEFA anyway? They only got into the tournament as UEFA generously let them in on a technicality.

Not really sure the banner was so offensive as some think.

After all, how many times have we said "Fuck UEFA" on this very forum.
Free speech, as long as you say what I want.

I'm no fan of Celtic and was glad to see them charged over their sectarian singing, too many pro IRA chants go on amongst that lot with fuck all said about it. Rangers are just as bad for sectarianism like, dont like either of the fuckers. That being said, I have no qualms with a "fuck UEFA" banner- not sure exactly why they felt the need to protest against UEFA since they were allowed into the tournament despite having been knocked out like, but its still a sentiment I can agree with

This is exactly the reason that gooners get fucked over year in year out by those in corporate positions.

Because most of our fans have no fucking back bone.
They weren't even brave enough to hold up an anti Wenger banner but yet they want to have a go at Celtic fans who want to express their gripe against UEFA.

Sebb Blatter will be glad to know he's got no enemies on this site.
You guys should start a thread praising the 6% price increase at the grove or better still how about a thread looking forward to the world cup in Qatar

Celtic were fined because some supporters were chanting Pro IRA songs. I think UEFA has every right to fine them and I don't see what your argument is?

You can't have a banner that says "Fuck Uefa" and expect not to get done over. They had it perfect up there now they are just fucking it up for themselves, the club have control in what they do about them, they can easily take away their section. Whether you agree with the message or not is another thing, what they done was just stupid.

This is a second, different charge relating to the use of pyro & displaying of an anti-UEFA banner at their game in Udinese last week.
