As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Been in touch with Sue Campbell (Head of Travel, Events & Supporter Liaison at Arsenal). She replied saying "go to REDaction"
The good news:
I have more or less secured a major backer to fund any campaigns Arsenal Artillery 1886 want to set-up. This backer has a strong affiliation with the club.
I played the "we have funding" card in response to Sue so we'll see what comes of it.
Anyone know the last time REDaction pulled off a successful campaign inside the stadium to improve the atmosphere?
I wish you all the very best mate, whatever happens.

Thanks pal.
Gotta get plans in action for the United game first though (which is looking promising)
So did you say that REDaction had been in touch with you, but as you told them you doubted the motives of the two groups were the same, it has gone no further?

Pm'd my response to you.
Why not post your response so that everyone can see how your discussions with RA worked out? Openess is what we all want.

I did initially but removed it in case it caused conflict between myself and The Cook. It wasn't abusive in any way. I sent same message to him directly so this thread isn't clogged with a slagging match of some sort.
Redaction basically said to sign up with them and forget about what we set out to do as a group because it won't work/happen. I don't see what we can give to Redaction that they don't already have.
I don't want this to quickly turn into a redaction debate so let's all move onwards and go about our business. If you don't like what we are setting out to do as a group then don't post - simple as that
I initially posted this thread because I was hoping everyone on this forum would chip in and get involved but that isn't the case unfortunately. I or one of the others involved will continue to update the thread with our progress but that'll be it
You should expect people to ask questions and accept that not everyone will share your opinions on what is the best way to try and change/improve what is happening at our club.
The club will only take notice once fans start boycotting the Souless Bowl and gate receipts take a huge dip. A mass non attendance for a league match would have more impact than a card display.

Save your anguish with the club for related threads/forums
We're not trying to change what's happening at the club mate, there's numerous supporters groups out there trying to tackle that.
First and foremost, we are just trying to improve the atmosphere and I believe a card display is a good start. We can't really expect to do much more than that initially so I'm pretty gobsmacked that people dismiss it so easily.

I think a card display is a decent idea- cards, flags and the likes are all good for helping with atmosphere. Not going to suddenly turn the place into a cauldron of noise, but its a start. What I would say though is that, if you really want the group to be seen as seriously wanting change, you shouldnt be put off just because the club say no. Quite how effectively you could arrange a card display without their knowledge is another matter of course (unless your group numbers hundreds and you can all sit together), but there must be something else you could do to show that your group means business and will seek to improve atmosphere whether the club want to support it or not? I admit, I dont entirely know what this could be, but there must be something

We definitely won't be giving up if they fob us off or tell us where to go.
For me personally, I am sick of forking out thousands per year to attend home games that offer me zilch in terms of atmosphere. I go to roughly half of our home & away games each season. If things don't progress with this group then my last resort will probably be to jack in going to home games, because our home atmosphere is an absolute disgrace hence why I am trying to lift this off the ground because I do not want to take up the last resort option.
In terms of getting noticed. We pretty much have a major backer on board who is as keen as us to to improve the atmosphere. They also have an affiliation with the club and will be willing to speak on our behalf.
I'm currently waiting on some designs (for a card display v United and Sp*rs) so I can propose it to their team. So far, so good with the exception of that lady Sue Campbell.
I'll keep plugging away anyway mate until I've nothing left to give. I don't nestle down that easy
Another positive discussion with our backer this morning although I've yet to hear back from the club (Sue Campbell in particular).
This backer has a meeting with the club soon and will discuss our proposal and a decision will be made. I've gone about getting a price for the card display which we're hoping we look something like this http://i41.tinypic.com/2ic5jxi.jpg
Does anybody have any contact info for anyone else at the club who could assist us?
