Terry to be prosecuted

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

the fa will do just that sweet fa now the courts have him, he'll get a fine or a suspended and some do good somewhere no-one can see you then come out with some bullshit that he's had his punishment lets get him back to being england captain and fucking some team mates missus.

i think the difference between suarez is a cultural one. terry is blatently speaking english and its obvious what he is saying plus the level of the complaint.

The main thing is dispite the stick he got before during this, regardless whether he protests, usn't anything compared to what he will get especially in the laws eyes as he's been charged.

Racist! Racist! Racist! Racist!

augie, the criminal law and civil law are seperate and have different burdens of proof so actions that fail at criminal law can be pursued and be succesful at civil law (and have been many times).

With regard to the FA, any action they take would be disciplinary not legal so they can follow their own 'laws'.
If you murder your missus you'll get sent down and your employer can still follow its disciplinary procedures and sack you. (That's just an example, not a suggestion).

I don't know what terry did or said but I can't stand the bloke so a ten or twenty game ban would be good.

However, the FA has yet to get involved. If Suarez, which was a more complex case, got a £40,000 fine and an 8 game then Terry's as got to be more severe.

Anyway just for fun...

I think a member of the public made a complaint to the police about Terry. The Suarez/Evra thing was just between the two of them, I think. The incident was never reported to them.

Suarez will have his halved on appeal to 4 games ban and Terry will get a fine and a rap on the knuckles from the authorities and a 6 game ban from the F.A.

So true they gave him an 8 match ban so that they can reduce it on appeal and still have a decent ban... Fucking joke Suarez and Terry should be banned for rest of season at least

If a fan did what Terry has allegedly done in a football stadium then they would be banned from football grounds for a long period of time . Can we not apply the same rule for him ?

I fucking hate JT. I hope he gets a criminal record, like the rest of his family.

Having said that, is it beyond the bounds of possibility that he's not actually racist?

Might he have said what he said purely to wind the oppo player up? Put him off his game? Draw a bookable retaliation?

Or maybe a heat-of-the-moment thing? Picking on anything about a person which can emphasize an insult? Like ginger bastard. Short bastard. Bald bastard. Big-nosed bastard. Etc, etc, etc.

Just a thought. I'll go find me tin helmet.

i do hope he'll get the same punishment from the FA as Suarez did...regardless of what the courts do. this sort of behaviour must not be encouraged whoever they maybe. i say this because i have a bad feeling the FA are going to look after Terry :x
