Strange one with Yossi. I work with a Chelsea fan and a Liverpool fan and they both really rate him, but to be honest in the little cameos he's had so far he's been disappointing, and I didn't think he played very well at all in the last Beer Cup game.
However, the lazy Russian has completely fucked me off now. Last night he came on, immediately gave the ball away, sliced an attempted clearance in comic book fashion etc.......so if we do want an experienced hand in midfield Yossi might be a better option. But I'd like to see him given at least half a dozen decent run-outs before we made any permanent decision on him

You ungrateful sod, you must have missed him. The goal machine Korean snatched from Monaco from under the watchful gazes of Real, Barca and Man City ?paperclip wrote:I've always been a big fan of Yossi. I think if he gets more game time this season he'll prove that he's definitely worth signing up. No, he's not the "super quality" signing we're all hoping for, but he's definitely a big improvement on a lot of the midfielders we have.

I was a bit surprised reading this thread because when AW signed Benny on loan they both received massive abuse on these pages.
The clubs and fans he's played for seem to rate his ability and his character but the problem seems to be where to play him. He's not got the speed or tricks to play wide, isn't physically competitive enough to hold a regular central role and generally hasn't been consistent enough.
However, he does offer something different and offers an option from the bench. I too like his effort and attitude but I'm not sure I'd sign him. Very happy to have him on loan for the rest of the season though. I think he's a bit too old and agree with those who want us to sign first team players not squad players.

For that alone he deserves a contract I reckon.
Was that him? What a legend, yea sign him up for that alone!

Even better, his goal was actually the winner.

Legend indeed.

The prick Sheringham missed his penalty as well. Unintentionally of course.

EDIT: (Pause at 4:36 to see Yossi's goal)

Don't worry TeeCee. A lot of fans getting moist about signing a Chav reject.
Now all we need to do is make a fat profit on RVP, and then take Wayne Bridge off the golf course, and bring back Thierry - Alex Thong has demanded Henry's signing, so we must acquiesce - then we are well set for the next three years of Europa League football under Arsene!
