Purple away shirts for next season!

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

see for yourselves - we had pictures of the current training tops (months before it was released) and the info about the diagonal blue shirt. we had news about the new crest way before that also.
I remember you guys correctly called (and showed with pics) a bunch of this season's kit & training gear before anyone else. Which is why, sadly i think this information is correct again :(

Dear Arsenal & Nike, can we have this please;

Geez that's a beauty. Beautiful shade of blue.

Dear Nike, is it really so difficult? Must you continue to pander to what, 14 year olds?

I reserve my judgement until I see the kit however, as I'm hoping they don't fuck around.

Sadly, 14 year olds insist on wearing every kit a club produces. 30 year olds don't tend to so much (although there's a lot more than there used to be.... :oops: )

I'm sure I recall reading something around the time most of us got sent out that fan survey about new shirts and our preferences on shirt matters, that the shirts next season would feature Redcurrant/Burgundy from the kits Nike did to mark the last season at Highbury. Could this insider be stating that it's purple but infact it's the Redcurrant from then featured on the new shirts?

no, not based to our informant - we asked him if the "purple" wasn't more like the colour from the shirt you mention, and he said it's the same purple from the training top you can see linked on the first page of this thread.

it's fucking awful

The only thing I could possibly say? The connection with the greatest rock band of all time with the greatest guitarist of all time. Clue - In rock, Machine head (we all came out to Montreaux)...etc...
