Out of touch

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Out of touch

Post by Robsy »

I've spent a few years reading and contributing to discussions on this forum and over time I've changed my opinions on this and that when it comes to Arsenal stuff.

But recently some of the opinions and ideas shouted out on here are so far removed from the views of people I sit with/around; some of the opinions seem completely blinded by personal vendetta; some of the opinions are no more based on fact or reason than pure hatred of our current manager.

I would like to know where people drink before/after the games, because I haven't heard much in the way of anti-Wenger stuff in the pubs I drink in - 12 pins, blackstock, tollingtons, triangle.

So, I am beginning to think that this forum is becoming out of touch with home fans. Maybe this is why there so much shouting on here, but so little action.

Try the Bank of Friendship or Woodbine. Quite happy to have a beer with you to explain why I'm right and you're wrong. 8)

As I said earlier, alot of home fans are AKB *word censored* who arrived in 98 and keep Wenger's job safe while pretending we didn't exist before 1996.

Although I do agree that alot of stuff is said on here and nothing done. The BSM, if they have the balls to agree to an anti-Wenger campaign are the way forward.

Quite simply mate, you won't find me at any Arsenal games from now on. Today was my last game, Wenger can go fuck himself, preferably with a stick of dynamite......

I use to ocassionally drink after Highbury home games in the BoF. I've got some mates who still do head there. It's okay, but small and now too far a walk in the wrong direction for me.

As for Sutch, I think its a bit unfair to suggest that AKB's are c**ts. I also think its complete shit to suggest that home fans nowadays only started supporting the club after '96. It's stuff like that which makes this forum look out of touch and unreasonable.

AKBs are the scum of the earth, they keep Wenger's job safe which in turn allows him to kill the club, so they're *word censored*. You can see it either when you're at the bowl or on TV when a corner is being taken, so many fans you see are clearly not died in the wool Gooners, half of them don't even know the songs properly. I remember when Arteta took a corner against a team I can't recall, and this tarquin in the background smiled as he joined in with the "Arsenal, Arsenal" drone. *word censored* the lot of them

Wenger said finishing 4th is the equivilent of winning a trophy so calling it horseshit is a bit wide of the mark
The problem with our transfer policy is that in the vast majority of cases when you pay peanuts you get monkeys and we sure as hell have a too many of them - basically it is the equivilent of selling your merc and replacing it with a lada
Point about our wage structure isnt horseshit and is another fact that wenger loves to speak publicly about
Lastly what fcuking explaining do you need re our extortinate ticket prices ? :? It is an accepted fact that we have the dearest prices in world football and while that might be partially acceptable if that money was being re-invested in quality players that clearly isnt the case and we are sure as hell well entitled to be well fcuked off at these prices

Easy one this. As hinted by others, this is because most of the serious Arsenal fans who have been going for donkeys years, no longer bother turning up to the soulless overpriced shit-hole that is the Emirates.

I only do away games now. The Emirates is home to the Waco Wenger cult so of course you're never gonna hear dissenting voices.

If the people that attend the Emirates are happy with the job AW is doing (i.e. we are now so low we are the Spuds bitches), then it is a sure sign that those ain't the kind of Arsenal 'fans' I want to be hanging around with.
