I'd be happy with bringing Henry back and another striker. Henry provides good cover and we have someone thats is hopefully proven or acclaimed enough to stay in the first team.

Have been having mixed feelings about it but he was definitely my favourite player to play for us in my time by a mile, I would love to see him in an arsenal shirt again.

On Twitter the official Arsenal tweeter is mumbling about Wenger's press conference being early today. I guess I could be reading too much into it, but moving it earlier to save room for the later conference announcing the return of Amaury Bischoff? Oh and they might say something about erm Thierry.

Wenger has confirmed it's gonna happen on SSN, just awaiting completion.

Well that's sorted Van Persie future a total lack of ambition again from Arsenal .

Reading the Guardian this morning they went through every team with tranfer targets and money to spend and they said we were the only one's with tons of cash to spend and we will end up with 1 loan signing .

Apolgies, I have not read the prvious 8 pages, hopefully somebody else has already said this:

Henry is not up to it anymore. Having watched him in the MLS play off's, playing up front with "Shrewsbury legend" Luke Rodgers, he looks like he is on a downward spiral.

I hope he proves me wrong, but I get the feeling that his memory will now be of a past it player making bit part appearances & 'letting everyone down'.

I can see how it makes sense for Arsenal, what with us desperately needing a striker & not wanting to buy one.

Having Henry will see that prick wenger sat in a press conference larging it up about a new signing.

"Arsene, will you be buying anyone else"

"Er, having Wilshere back is like having a new player"

That's a no then you tight *word censored*

Sky Sports says the move will be completed "subject to insurance"

Apparently Ivan's on the price comparison sites as we speak seeing whether we can pay in installments and whether we get a free meerkat toy in return for our huge investment in this 'busy window'

Of course it makes sense at Arsenal, it's cheap... :banghead: .... and the *word censored* Wenger is also quoting again that we have a big squad and (sorry SteveO), that the useless *word censored* Diaby is (again) on his way back.... :banghead:

a few things
I agree that Gervinho, in his first Prem season, has not done enough to get into the two best teams in the league or the Spuds first XI (their midfield is obviously their greatest strength)
Lennon was injured recently and VDV has a tantrum about playing wide so he might actually make it into the TinyTotts team at the mo.

On the other hand Song, much derided here, would walk into the ManUre first team and Citeh would love to have him whilst Yaya is at the ACN
Babatunde wrote:Some idiot even compared Theo Walcott to Gareth Bale today!!!
for once I agree with Baborietiya
the process of comparing Bale and Walcott was indeed started by some idiot
Babatunde wrote:Fact is, for half the price, Spuds got five times the player and Bale is terrorising the league right now.

For double the price and double the wages, Wenget got a pussy who couldn't even terrorise an ant

I'm happy to have Henry, he can do a job for us and £70k a week for a couple of months is worth it. Somebody idiotically suggested he's here for the money - his contract will be paid whatever, he is a true Gooner, personally I think some respect is in order. As has been said already Henry is likely to come in as cover for Gervinho. Whether one rates him or not he has been our first choice player on the left.

I can't see anybody signing any ACN bound players in Jan so I guess we will have Chamakh till the summer. I don't know what Joel Campbell's work permit situation is, maybe Wenger thinks he can come in?
Whatever the summer plan is and even if you see Henry as an option at CF we need strikers for March, April & May.

I like Benik Afobe, and I know he was injured early in the season, but it's far too much of a gamble to rely on him.

My guess for the window is: Henry comes in for ACN cover in two positions.
We try and move on a few players (usual suspects) and we sign another centre forward.

I would like us to buy another option at LB but not sure it will happen
