Henry coming back is for one reason and one reason only, to stop the general sales, his signing goes against everything Wenger has preached about since breaking up that special team.

I love him but it sickens me.

Who said he was on 70K?

I don't think Henry's love for Arsenal can be questioned! One of few genuine players still out there.

read it in todays rags, i doubt he is coming back for a curly wurly and a rolled up copy of girly world

I love Henry to death the bloke was a god at the Arsenal, but no one can be happy with this deal apart from Wenger, Gazidis and Henry
I know he's changed from when he left but you can't write Henry off. Beckham was still able to put in some great performances for Milan when he was on loan those couple of times.

Fuck it, he's coming in on loan for a couple of months - I can't fucking wait to see him out in a proper game for us again!

well Wenger has already stated he is two weeks short in match fitness, so it will probably take him 2 or 3 weeks to get up to speed with the PL and then he will play 45 mins, get injured and be out for the next 3 weeks, so you should see him for 45 mins

Ya know despite what everyone might say, secretly, theres a part of us all that feel exactly the same - Nice to see him in an Arsenal shirt again. Hope it doesn't go pear-shaped. :barscarf:

This is a recipe for disaster.

Are we not trying to achieve more than extra shirt sales this season ?

Tonight I am reminded of a quote from steve bruce last summer when he said that he wouldnt be buying any african players cos of the upcoming anc - now I know his recruitment policy didnt exactly pan out afterwards but the fact remains that because of this tournament two of our squad are unavailable for a month and it is only through bad luck that we are not missing a 3rd player as well (  ). I read on another thread that wenger said that he wouldnt be buying (as opposed to loaning) any players in jan unless we sold players and some fans expressed the opinion that we have no room for them due to limits on squad sizes but I dont see how that is the case cos for me our squad is wafer thin in both numbers and quality. Wenger knew about this tournament so why buy another african player last summer and now put us in a position where we need to sign a former great but now too old player, for 2 months just to get us out of a hole ? Wenger the great long term strategist my arse   :banghead:

Very disappointing as Podolski was keen to join us.

Still much better value as no transfer fee involved!!

Thanks Arsenal once again.

Tight fisted gits

I want to remember TH as he was not as a 34 year old panic buy.

We need so much more than a name.

So so disappointed.

Not so much with bringing back Henry as that would be disrespectful to the man but to what this purchase signifies.

To me, it just shows a lack of ambition. A belief that Chamakh and Park are really the answer to our chase for CL qualification just...hurts.

JD,

Thing is I try to be positive. There's still a possibility we may sign Goetze according to Sammy. However if we were in the market for another striker, Podolski for example, why would we sign Henry? The simple answer to me is that we did sign Henry because we aren't signing another striker. I actually believe this to be a more important signing than Goetze so have to feel disappointed and pessimistic, which isn't like me

I think we are signing him as cover for gervinho, but doesn't change the fact we need another striker

You really are, a braindead Wenger-loving clown. I'm sorry about that aneurysm. Quite how you were paid for your football knowledge is beyond me; unless it was your pimp paying you!!!!

I'm reminded of a quote from a man far more clever than you who said:

"Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning?"

Know who said that? Course you don't, you think Theo Walcott is better than Gareth Bale and that Wenger is signing another striker, and that 3rd place and 4th place are actually the same thing in CL qualification (errr....even though 3rd place plays no qualifiers!)...

Ha ha hope you get a brain and a pair of functioning testicles for 2012. God knows you need both....(or you could just remove Arsene's testicles from your mouth instead and use those  )
