Chelsea are welcome to him as he's shit. Mertesacker is a much better player IMHO. For once Wenger did something right...

Last season everybody with a pulse was saying the Kos was a crap defender but after a reasonable season he has grown into a great defender now we have PM playing and apparently he isn't good enough and makes constant mistakes etc. He has come into a much more intense league and has not had a settled back 4 to play with(much like Kos last season). Having seen most of PM's games this season and some of Cahill's I think I prefer PM as our 3 choice CB

Cahill is a decent defender, nothing more. He's some good qualities but obvious weaknesses. I didn't want him in the Summer and I'm glad we're not getting him now.
Like Kos now, I believe that our 70-cap German will prove to be a good signing.
With a waning JT, Calamity Luis and not-wanted-Alex, Chelski have got a few problems at the back and Cahill's a cheap option.

this bloke has gone from £18m to £7.5m in one season    thank fuck Wenger didn't spend £18m on this twat

he has been shocking this season, can't wait to see him and Terry fuck up next to each other

also funny how they spend £21m for Luiz and now only £7.5m on Cahill

Cahill was never worth 17 million and I'm glad we decided not to sign him at that price . His stock has fallen and I'm quite happy with TV5 , Kos and PM . I don't see Cahill as a no4 CB so let him go elsewhere . I'd be happy to see the back of Djourou and Squid . Maybe Bartley will come back next season to fill the no4 slot ?

Spot on.

Those criticizing Mertesacker are unbelievable. What has he done wrong apart from the Norwich mistake? Against Chelsea he had a poor game but he still showed his ability in the second half. Per is a class defender and it amazes me how people can't see it. People see his immobility and clumsiness and conclude that he's shit.

Mertesacker is twice the defender Cahill is. His positional sense is world class, he reads the game as well as anyone, he's strong in the air and in the challenge, fantastic tackler and I've noticed in the Wolves game that he's getting more aggressive. He's also a leader.

Can you see Cahill getting 80 games for Germany?

We've got a great CB in Per but people don't realize it. Next season everyone will be sucking his knob.

What poor business by the chavs selling the much better player in Alex and getting in Cahill. They're welcome to him.

Reports say l'poo might make an offer for cahill after problems agreeing personal terms with chavski.

What the hell is he asking for if he can't agree with Chelsea???

Maybe he's not asked for enough money ?????

GC " I want 60k a week "
Chavs " We won't sign anyone on less than £90k "

I'd rather we snuck a sneaky bid in for Alex and Baines.
