Wenger: "We are not looking for permanent players unless we lose players, as we have a big squad."
of course we have a big squad, it's filled with useless c**ts like diaby, almunia, squilacci, gibbs, fabianski, chamakh... you fucking tight fisted twat

I think Chamakh, Arshavin and possibly Squillaci are off which will free up some room so surely he will sign players. He has to or he can forget 4th and be out of the door come season's end.

although this doesnt sound promising, if we take what Wenger is saying with any truth, we could still buy a player or two if we lose a player like Arshavin (which is plausible) and a couple of other players in the January window. Arsene loves speaking in riddles because a) he's a self harming *word censored*, and b) he doesnt want to show his hand too soon. lets be fair, as soon as anyone is linked with Arsenal, the Scum, Shitty or Manure always go in for that player with success.

A number of posters have bemoaned our lack of activity in the transfer window while the 'Chavs and the two Manc clubs are strengthening' their squads.
Unless something has happened in the last couple of hours none of the four teams mentioned have signed anybody!
I'm not aware of Citeh being connected with anybody for January, Beetroot nose's policy at Utd is the same as AW's and Chelski have yet to get Cahill, who's not exactly Bobby Moore, and Liverpool are said to have bid for him.
I too am frustrated by the lack of cover at fullback and striker but let's not pretend that all at our club are useless wankers while our rivals are all wonderful.

Wonderful thought process but all of the other clubs mentioned have shown a willingness to splash out when and where it is needed in the past but we havent. Since the yank takeover at victims fc they have been throwing money about like confetti and will do so going forward and the chavs will without question make major signings next month as avb tries to shape the squad more to his style. Ferguscum spent big last summer and imo did some quality recruiting (despite performances to the contrary) so I am not sure how much recruiting he will do or how much money he will have at his disposal. Wenger on the other hand has said that he is only interested in loan signings unless somebody actually leaves the club on a permanent deal and history has shown us that wenger does not like to spend money especially on proven top level talent (how many of us believe that mert and arteta were signed over his head ?) so what grounds do we have for optimism that the old *word censored* will address our glaring weaknesses ?
I know it is not a rumour linked to us as such but the guys on soccer saturday on ssn today suggested that villa will have to sell to generate funds to strengthen their team and they suggested that the only real value player that could bring in funds (15m) is darren bent and he is a player that I feel would be ideal for us
In other non Arsenal related news mancini continues trying to lure de rossi to citeeh via the media as contract talks with roma have stalled. You would have to wonder where this would leave de jong in citeeh's future plans and imo he would be an absolute brilliant purchase for us if we could get him

All the talk may be about Thierry Henry's return to Arsenal on a two-month loan, but it was another former Gunners captain who was the main attraction on Saturday, as Tony Adams returned to Emirates Stadium to admire a statue of himself.
