People are saying that he will get a shot when Gervinho goes to the ACN, I wouldnt count on it. Today at 1-0 we realistically need a second goal to make the game safe and he brings on fucking Benayoun. In fact the "85k week a man" Walcunt had a shocker as well but instead our dear leader opted for Roshitty.

Ironically Roshittys shite marking would contribute to their first goal but the fact remains. We substituted BOTH our wingers and the Ox still didnt get on.

Was he actually even on the bench.. I didn't think he was, I could be wrong.. :? :?
No you are right- not even on the bench FFS

Arsene should be up on charges of criminal negligence- to our football club
Yes, totally agree, on one hand put him on the bench and then don't give him any game time or on the other, don't put the poor lad on the bench at all, in some kind of snub, you couldn't make it up really except this is the senile Wenger we're talking about.

you know, i expected Wenger to play this poor kid at least once in the last 4-5 games, even as a bloody sub ffs. it wasnt as though we were playing grade A fixtures, they were mid table teams that he is more than capable of making an impact. the fact that he snubbed this amazing talent, who scored in the CL on his fucking debut, has made me hate Wenger even more.

I used to love Wenger so much, he was like the ultimate manager to me. i cant believe i hate him this much now. fuck him.

When I started this thread I was mildly irritated by the GICs refusal to pick him but I thought he would have no choice when forehead went to the ACN.

Now I see his vision of Roshitty and Benayoun on the wings Im absolutely furious. :banghead:

yea, its become an absolute piss take now. its not as though his talent is unknown, surely he has earnt a start or something. i swear this guys talent and spark is being dampened every game that he is being snubbed...then when he eventually gets picked, he'll be another bottler that will fuck off to city and be amazing. the whole thing is rotten to the core! :x

This was one of the reasons we lost tonight. Our so called Professor taking both pacey wingers off (however shit they were) and not replacing at least one of them with Chamberlain. Fulham bought a young 18 year old on who was nippy. Wenger fucking fuckwit. Well done, really well done.

Exactly Eboue-Why?, Wenger has to give Ox as many opportunities as he can. at present, Ox is not some pussy lightweight bottler that Dear Leader has bought on the cheap. people will say that he may fizzle out and burn, or his bubble will burst. But this guy is not Walcott, he has power and a desire to perform. he could be the next Messi for all we know, but Wenger and the staff are running the risk of turning him into the next Fran Merida lol.

This is probably why he doesnt get a game- cheap and cheerful, its the Wenger way (except with his own salary and that of the team).

Its the first time in a while I've actually been excited by a prospect at the Arsenal, probably since when Cesc first broke into the team.

Our *word censored* of a manager is ruining him. The one time it looks like hes actually got it right with a young player he refuses to play or even acknowledge him.

Very strange decision not to have him on the bench. He was tailor made for the second half yesterday.....

I have no idea how he is "ruining him". He has massive expectations to do well and Arsenal will phase him into the side. The boy is only 18.

Yeah but he's already proven he can perform in the first team. Did you see how shit Walcott was yesterday? The Ox would need a broken leg to put in a performance worse than that pussy. The Ox and Coquelin have already shown they have more skills than Walcott could even dream of. And how would this run not have been the perfect opportunity "phase him in" ??? We have pretty much played like shit the last 4 games and obviously need something different. Chamberlain has been on the bench so fucking put him in!!!!

the more he starves this kid of matches, the more retarded he will be as confident, well established football player. 18 in football terms is not that young for him to be kept away from playing, that's more like 16 and even Rooney got bere games at that age for Everton. Ox is old enough and good enough to be playing a lot more senior games than he is. he will only turn into another bottler. even fabregas got more games than this guy did, and i reckon Ox has just as much potential.

Bang on STL, it seriously looks to me like Wenger is more interested in advancing his personal reputation than Arsenal succeeding.
Interesting and rather disturbing theory, and it's sad that you both think Wenger is that selfish and petty that he would purposely hold back a young talent for personal gain :( - you're basically accusing him of sabotaging Arsenal football club and the career of a young lad who we spent serious money on.

I find it hard to believe though. Surely it's more likely that he just doesn't think he's ready yet? - after all, he is only 18 and only signed in the summer.

Perhaps we shouldn't be so quick to accuse Wenger of such a serious breach of football ethics?

Similar accusations were made at the start of last season, about Wenger holding back Wilshere because he was English. As we now now, Wilshere is a key first team regular at 19, so it now seems those people were wrong about Wenger... I think, in time, people will realise Wenger isn't trying to sabotage Chamberlain's career either.

I don't know, you'd think Wenger was the devil if you went off what some people post on here :?
