Arsene needs to get his finger out as some big teams are looking to make their move for Citys in demand star player

Queens Park Rangers have made the opening move to sign Wayne Bridge on loan but are facing competition from Wolves for the Manchester City misfit.

Sportsmail revealed QPR's interest in Bridge on Saturday, after it emerged that the former England left back is free to leave the Etihad Stadium.

They have been given permission to discuss a short-term deal, and co-owner Tony Fernandes has called Bridge's representative in a bid to get the deal finalised.

The 31-year old has been earmarked to replace Armand Traore, who is about to join up with Senegal's Africa Cup of Nations squad.

But Wolves have now entered the race after registering their interest with Bridge's adviser Aaron Lincoln. Wages of £95,000 a week could still be the stumbling block for both clubs.

Talk on Twitter that Galatasaray officials are in town to discuss a deal. Put that Thierry return on the backburner boys, Manny Eboue is headed back home.

Has it been mentioned that Mannone's gone to Hull on loan? Frees up that spot in the squad for the Oman wingback.

Edit: Or does Vito count as homegrown...confused.

I know that it is early days as such but I am expected more deals to be done at this stage - not by us of course but by the other clubs :o
