As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Wenger - I’ll field a strong side in the Cup
Manager expects Chamakh and Park to face Leeds on Monday
lol. talk about contridictory statements.
Lol, my thoughts exactly. Still, we are reliably informed by the Self Harmer that Super Quality has now completed his six month adaption period (somewhat ironic given that he has been here for just over four months), so we will see.
I certainly hope its a heavily backended adaption programme because judging by his fucking abysmal performance against City in the Beer Cup, it looked as if he was about 1% into his adaption.
No one other than Arsenal were interested in this guy even though at his age he should be arguably hitting his peak years and the fact that he was at relegation threatened Monaco.
If this guy proves to be a hit, I will happily do a David Campese style stunt and walk up and down past the Red Action boys wearing a sandwich board bearing the words "I love Arsene, Real Fans Have Patience"
I think when he was substituted against City that cost us the game.
He nearly scored in the first half and he did score in the previus round against Bolton. Had Arshavin been used in the Carling Cup v City he would definitely created a chance for Park.
Park is a world class striker, he just needs to be given an opportunity
You know that your wind-ups never work with me Red....they just make me laugh, but I'm sure you'll get someone else to bite
You better tell Wenger he's a 'world class striker' then because he clearly has your mate Chamakh above him in the pecking order based on who gets on the bench and replaces RvP.
By the way, the fact he 'nearly scored against City' when it was 'nearly impossible to miss' is hardly an achievement is it now mate ?

He was never going to play in a million years.
Of course, all that means that we actually have only two strikers - RVP and Chamakh.
Chamakh - a "striker" who has scored one goal in the last year.
God help us if RVP gets injured. Or should I say, when RVP gets injured.
said the same all long about Park, he is just another version of Inamoto, who also never made it - football is a global business and Arsenal need to sell there brand to America, Asia and Africa - I went to San Francisco a couple of years and it was amazing how many yanks new about Arsenal fc and i even managed to watch Arsenal v Celtic in a CL qualifier in a San Fran bar

If they thought buying a South Korean player would increase popularity and enhance the club's 'brand' then they're pretty thick because South Koreans have their own league and teams to support and don't really care much about European football. Besides, why would they buy Chu Young's shirt and not Ji Sung's, who's the superior player and with a much higher profile?
If the club wanted to sign someone purely for marketing purposes, then they should've gone for a Malaysian or Indonesian player. That's where Arsenal are popular and the club would make millions upon millions off the shirt sales alone.
This is the most baffling signing ever, even by Wenger's standards.

I'd hold back on that statement for now- our central defender from the 2nd division in Oman could be on his way- an excellent purchase to tap into the huge market of 3.5m people.

Clearly Di Canio thinks its a major upset. And the award for over-reaction to a victory 2012 has already been won.....
Paolo Di Canio called for a memorial to be erected to his Swindon Town players after the League Two team pulled off the shock of third-round day with a 2-1 FA Cup win over Premier League strugglers Wigan Athletic.

Err....its Wigan mate. Just about every pundit predicted Swindon would win.
