A shocking report in The Week, suggests Arsenal could make a £100m bid for Porto striker Hulk. Arsene Wenger is looking to strengthen his attack, and Hulk is reportedly on the Frenchman’s agenda.
Hulk’s agent Givanildo Vieira de Souza has admitted that Arsenal have shown interest in the Brazilian who is also wanted by Chelsea.
Arsenal are set to lose star striker Robin Van Persie during the Summer transfer window, and could use funds from that sale to help pay for Hulk, who is reportedly worth a WHOPPING £100m.
Van Persie is set to be on his way to Real Madrid for £70m in the summer, and if you add the fees on from the potential sales of Andrei Arshavin + others, Arsenal have themselves the £100m required to buy the goal machine.
Hulk would certainly be an ideal replacement for Robin Van Persie, and after scoring 43 goals for Porto in 82 appearances, he should certainly be brought to the Emirates in the summer.
