At the risk of being labelled racist I have to say that I have concerns about signing african players - obviously the acn plays a part in that but a few of them have struck me as being all about the money and as soon as they get their big wages they stop putting in the effort.

Ba is a good lad and has superb attitude. He's religious as well and was only on 10k-15k a week at Wet Spam from what I heard so can't be all about money. He's far from an Adebayor for example. If we sign Ba it would be the best signing we would've made in recent years. He's a top class player.
Watch out for his compatriot Papiss Cisse at Freiburg as well. Brilliant finisher.

Tying in with Thierry Henry, who has been signed to provide cover while Gervinho and Marouane Chamakh are at the African Cup of Nations, and The Times reports that Fiorentina are keen on Chamakh. The Serie A club reportedly want to sign the Arsenal striker on loan, but his wages could be a stumbling block.
