Redknapp? Bale? Modric?

Wenger and the Arsenal board have royally fucked things up for us, but Sp*rs are probably doing something right, as how else have they climbed to joint second in the league?

I know many hate Wenger, but not everything is down to him. But yes, he deserves part of the blame... just not all.

Won't happen with the setup as it is now.

Wenger says we have a capable squad, even though we've been absolutely battered this season. Awful form at home, lacking cutting edge, some shocking results, injuries.

Where would we be if RVP was injured? We actually have NOONE else who can score a goal.

So say Wenger buys nobody and the window closes and RVP is out for the rest of the season within a week. Thierry goes back to NYRB and we go all the way through to April/May with Chamakh and Park as our only strikers.

We will literally be completely fucked.

that is a truely fightning senario, we will have our little dip in form soon then its down to all fans to put pressue on the board, no point slating wenger im sure if he could he would bring some good players in. we should rape the board for what money is available then do a liverpool and get a billionare in and dump kronke

The thing that Sp*rs are doing right is investing in their squad. They knew to maintain a decent side they had to keep Modric. Redknapp said he wasn't going. The player whinged, Chelsea bid, Redknapp said fuck off, Modric stayed and is having a good season.

Wenger says Nasri and Cesc are staying, leaves it to the last week of the window, then sells them - in Cesc's case for way under his valuation and with a few years left on his deal!

Redknapp looks at the Sp*rs side, says they need another striker, and brings in Adebaywhore on loan. Say what you like about him, he's a good striker.

Wenger sees our striking options - Chamakh and Van Persie, and signs Park for £3m - a striker who doesn't even make the bench for an FA Cup game with a weakened side.

Redknapp sees that they need a goalkeeper because Gomez is dodgy, so he brings in one of the most reliable keepers in the league in Brad Friedel. Wenger sees Arsenal need a new goalkeeper, then persists with them, calling all of them "world class" including Mannone who is now talking about a permanent move to Hull, and then gets lucky with Szczesny's development into a decent keeper.

Come the transfer window now, everyone knows we're one injury away from being completely fucked upfront. Wenger says we won't sign anyone, and by the looks of it isn't interested in improving a squad which is the weakest in years at this club.

It's not just mismanagement, it's almost asset stripping by Wenger and the board. It's an absolute fucking disgrace.

Wenger has overseen the dismantling of our squad and the failure to reinvest. He has chosen to rely on Squillachi, Chamakh, Diaby, Gibbs, Park, Denilson, Walcott just to name a few.

We absolutely should be higher than Spurs in the table, we pay the highest prices in the premiership and our wage outlay is ridiculous for such a mediocre squad. It is not down to Redknapp, Bale, Modric that we have FAILED to reinvest the Fabregas/Nasri money adequately. It wasn't Redknapp's fault we lost to Fulham, Blackburn and got raped 8-2 by Manure.

I repeat, the reason Spurs are higher in the table is down to Wenger.

This is what just doesn't make sense to me .. We all fuck up .. We all make mistakes .. We all sometimes go down the wrong path .. hindsight is a wonderful thing .. etc etc ..

There is no shame in failing .. but you'd expect to hold your hand up if you fuck something up .. Hold you hand and be counted, then work to undo the mess you caused ..

Why has this morality gone at the club ?

* We can't compete with wasting big on hopeful big names as it is not our Policy .. We all accept that ..
* (living within our means) Not overstretching ourselves to win a trophy every year is our policy .. The majority of us accept that ..
* Finishing in the top four is the club's yearly minimum target .. We don't all agree and argue about it ..

But can we not be united .. All of us (fans), to say we need the upper echelons to accept that they have created a mess, and we need them to gracefully hold their hand up, and fix the mess they created for themselves .. is that TOO much to ask ?

Wenger .. Please .. raise your arm .. accept that you fucked up .. and Fix this mess .. We can not allow this backward 'consistency' to continue ..

If any of us (fans) was in his shoes, I don't think any of us (even the AKBs) would be able to live with having the scum so high up the table than us .. and I'd like to believe we all would simply step down if we didn't rectify this anomaly before this season ends .. I know I would resign !

Phil,

You really are a dozy old twonk. How can you say Wenger has no money to spend? Our wage bill is £30m more than Spurs.

Keep the excuses coming son. Wenger has been sussed out by the people on here who have a brain. The blind sheep continue to follow the Pied Piper of Strasbourg. Keep following him and you will fall off the cliff with him.

WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me too, but we are simply rewarding failure. Too many so called fans make excuses for Wenger and blame the refs and the injuries. Not true, reliance on injury prone players is one of Wenger's most recent failings (e.g. Diaby, Gibbs). As for the refs, it seems only United get the rub of the green, so why are Spurs and Chelsea above us?

fella these contracts have been negotiated by accountants/advisors/agents and signed off by the board - its shit business (if true) but its hardley wenger overseeing the negotiations or setting the wage structure so rigidley, that mate is the board, and no top class players will come if they can make bigger saleries elsewhere
