ticket count (i think its quite gd lol)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

wat do you think of this for a ticket sales/ purchase counter

helps us know who has donr wat, and im sure would be easy for a mod to set up.

if both buyer and seller tell a mod the deal then the mod can alter their ticjet count accordingly

Guys can someone tell me how you can sell home tickets? dont you have to have there card to swipe on entry to the ground?

Just out of interest because everytime i go to a homw game there are lots of touts buying and selling tickets..

I thought it would end once we moved from Highbury but the same guys are doing it.

Would to the boro game last season and wasnt planning on going but hear a porter in hotel speak to some other custmore about getting tickets for some other game. Anyway to cut a long story short myself and the good wife decided to get 2 tickets and approached the porter who knew a broker(tout) who charged us £150 PER TICKET. Yes that was shocking expensive but the tickets face value :?: Zero as they were staff tickets so thats where touts are getting their tickets

I know it is hypocritical but I still have the mobile number of the broker/tout should an emergency ever arise again

that could work in a way the user updates it him/herself, obviously would need honest people but this seems to be a site full of genuin gooners so i think it could work
what you do is turn on ranks so they can be set to personalised ranks after say 150 posts so to stop n00bs (like what i did :P) coming on and just asking for tickets

and for people with under 150 posts set their ranks to 'not ready yet' or somthing

only takes 2 seconds to set up in the admin panel

ALTHOUGH IT IS QUITE A GOOD IDEA, AND I DON'T MIND PUTTING IN THE WORK INVOLVED FOR YOU GUYS, IT WOULD OBVIOUSLY BE UNFAIR ON PEOPLE WITH LESS POSTS THAN ANY LIMIT SET. A PERSON'S HONESTY CAN NOT BE JUDGED JUST BY HOW MANY POSTS THEY HAVE MADE ON A FORUM.

I HAVE TIDIED UP THE 'PEOPLE WHO CAN BE TRUSTED' THREAD TO MAKE IT EASIER FOR GOONERS TO CHECK THOSE THAT HAVE PREVIOUSLY BEEN RECOMMENDED AS KOSHER. THIS LIST CAN BE UP-DATED CONSTANTLY, ACCORDING TO PEOPLE'S EXPERIENCES.

HOWEVER ULTIMATELY IT IS UP TO THE SELLER TO DECIDE WHETHER THEY THINK SOMEONE CAN BE TRUSTED AND TO SET THE CONDITIONS OF THE SALE (I.E. RECEIVE PAYMENT FIRST, OR BY A CERTAIN DATE, ETC.), AND THE BUYER TO PURCHASE ONLY OFF PEOPLE THEY DEEM TRUST WORTHY.

AS GOONER.ED HAS ALREADY SUGGESTED, ANY SELLERS COULD PROBABLY STATE THAT THEY INITIALLY WILL GIVE PREFERENCE TO PEOPLE THAT HAVE PURCHASED TICKETS BEFORE AND OTHER FORUM REGULARS. 8)
