Alex Oxlade Chamberlain
Actually just looked it up.
He played 90 minutes over 3 games in the whole tournament.
Fucking outstanding return.

Le tissier just got it spot on on Soccer saturday.
' Why play Andrey Arshavin who is low on confidence and looks like a pub player when you've got Chamberlain who is on top of his game and full of confidence, a no brainer'.
Unfortunately our good friend 'Mr Houlier' will opt for the 'safe option' Vs Swansea.
3-1 Swansea.

Thank you Number 5 for putting his achievement in it's proper context.Number 5 wrote:Actually just looked it up.

Because he was 20 and in the French manager's pecking order at that time behind older or more experienced players like Christophe Dugarry, Stéphane Guivarc'h, Youri Djorkaeff and a certain Zidane - whilst also competing with his contemporary David Trezeguet.Chippy wrote:If he was that good why didn't he play more?

The look on Alexs face today said it all really. The best player on the park for us and given the shepherds crook for Arshavin. Even the Russian couldnt believe he was getting a game and the exasperated sigh as he put his tracksuit back on tells us he is not impressed with our GIC.
And who can blame him really?
He puts on an outstanding display, showing up Walcunt on the other side, and gets substituted. What sort of message does that send to him? Even outstanding isnt good enough to oust Wengers favourites. I'd go as far as to say it was one of the best displays by a winger in our team this season, yet that cocky shite Walcott (running his mouth today again with his shite passing) stays on and gets himself knocked out with a header off the turf.
RVP was perplexed and even the crowd have turned on Wenger, I think that says it all really.

Please just fuck off back to the Red Cafe.Red Member wrote:Why were my comments deleted?
The manager has said Chamberlain was tiring which I agree with
If Arshavin had scored the winner then everyone would be saying Wenger was a genius
He is paid a lot of money to make tough decisions like that
Don't forget he made a good decision to START chamberlain
