The link between Tesco and AFC

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The link between Tesco and AFC

Post by badliebenzell »

In a week dominated by poor financial results on the High St, it highlighted proof of how Tesco and AFC are suffering the same fate.
For many years Tesco have been trying to break into foreign markets. This has meant huge investment outside the UK. It has also meant less investment in their UK stores. The result? Loss of market share to Sainsbury's.
The connection with AFC? Lack of investment in the football side of AFC due to funds being used to break into the property market. The result? 5th place in the PL and the Spuds take our place in the top 4.
Message to Messrs Gazidis and Wenger - you cannot have it both ways - either invest or see your customers go elsewhere. You have been warned...

I would have thought there was a much closer link to LIDL

Last time I went there all I could see was cheap imported stuff that nobody in this country had ever heard of and not much sign of any super quality
