Gallas

Gallas

Post by Sutch »

Would you have kept him? His departure gave Djourou and Squillaci a stage on which to prove they're shit, and with Koscielny's shaky first season I'm still wondering why we didn't just meet Gallas apparent 80-grand a week demands.

Everyone who says about his tantrum at Birmingham, at least it showed he had passion and was fucked off to the max with Clichy. Granted Adams or McLintock wouldn't have done that but I won't slate him for it unlike some

He was immense when he captained the scum in that 3-2 last season, they wouldn't have won had he not been in their side. :banghead:

No we did right to get rid of him, where we fucked up was not replacing him with quality!

Has he even played much for the scum? Always seems to be injured

A horrible *word censored*, never an Arsenal player who should never have been signed in the first place... move on.

Is it right that Toure left because he didn't get on with Gallas...? If so then yes, we should never have bought him in the first place!

He wanted a 3 year deal though, right? On that sort of money, given his injury record, it was the right decision.

Good god no!!
He was shot when he left us and hasn't improved! His attitude is a major issue.

And lets not forget the reason we got him to start with i.e. because he refused to play for Chelsea again and because our board would not sanction the extra £5k per week wages for Cole. So we sold the guy who'd just proved himself at Euro 2004 to be about the best left back anywhere in Europe for.......William Gallas + £5m. Sold to a club that were just embarking on spending £30m+ for players too.

Great business that...... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Never liked him, glad when he went. Definitely the correct decision.

He disrupted the squad, was a poor leader and a complete mercenary.

Gallas was outstanding for us, big mistake letting him go, he has been superb for Spurs since the move, terrible mistake selling Billy. He has a heart of a lion and wants to win at all costs, too bad our poncey players were intimidated by such a man..
