SWANSEA AWAY THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Jamie redknapp nearly made a comment about Arsenal without pandering to the media, he said, something about arsenal's defensive frailties that have been known for a couple of years and that nothing has been done about it, stating mertesacker has been struggling but cannot be held at fault for any of the goals. Which I interpret as he played well as a defender today, despite shinning a chance that dare I say it even squillaci would've scored, BFG, had a good game defensively.

Mind you we did look better as a team once we converted to 442, and RVP was given freedom to roam. Suggest Ox and Theo on wings, henry through the middle RVP in the "hole" menacing where DB10 used to.

Swansea can count themselves fortunate to get the penalty (proved in replays that it should have been free kick and booking against them!) and I thought their winner was, marginally, offside.

We were caught in possession too often and I thought Ramsey tried too hard, although understandable given the opposition.

So please, stop on this Wenger out bollocks on this particular thread. Nothing happened today that made those calls any more justified. And to the person - a long way from here - who said that this was Arsenal's worst ever performance.....you can't have seen us play much!

Lets keep this thread for discussion of a match we were probably a little unlucky to lose and keep talk of banners, protests and Wenger out to the numerous existing threads....!

PS we'd have fantastic support if we were in a 20,000 capacity stadium. And we'd spend most of our time in the football league, exactly as Swansea do..... Please don't congratulate them for that!
your a poor POOR excuse of a fan.....if you really think this than you might as well go and support barnet
Fuck you, c**t! 37 years a gooner and if you said that to my face you'd be on the deck!

Once you've been on here for a while then you've earned the right to call me anything you like. But a bit cheeky for someone with 100 posts. I know of at least one spud who posts on here who has more posts than you  ....!

This forum has some great debate. But the reason so many people have stopped posting is often because any debate just deteriorate into personal insult. So think about that the next time, c****t 8) !

I have nothing to say about our team that hasn't been said before after gutless, spineless capitulations. I could just cut and paste any of the post match rants going back to Hull at home and ending up with Fulham away. The players change, the one constant is the tactically inept, stubborn goon that picks them

Well played Swansea City for exposing the one remaining myth he clings to i.e. "we play good football". Outpassed and outclassed apart from the first ten minutes and the last ten minutes. They've got a bright young manager and play fantastic football. We were lucky to beat them at home earlier in the season. Nothing bad to say about them - two direct wingers with genuine pace, skill and shooting ability, a tireless centre forward, a great passing midfield without star names and a solid back line. Good luck to them

A lot of good points on here, people need to chill with the insults we are all Arsenal Fans.

Bottom Line The Arsenal are being run like a corporation with a Profits at all costs mentality with football being a minor issue.

We have seen a policy of continued asset stripping, we have been a selling club for a few years now. A complete change of managemnet and owership is required over The Arsenal if we are ever going to seriously compete on the football pitch.

Arsenal fans need to organise protests and start a continued finacial boycott of the club untill the necessary changes occur. Don't give the thieves who own our club your money.

Every time Djourou is challenged on the ball, he just turns his back and tries to shield it - watch him! He shouldn't be at the club he is so shit!

So many things wrong with Arsenal FC and so many are the fault of Arsene Wenger. I've said it before and I'll say it till I'm blue in the face, this man is destroying Arsenal.
Pathetic man management
Pathetic tactical decisions
Pathetic squad management
Pathetic training methods
Pathetic transfer dealings
Wenger - a poor poor excuse for a football manager, will fuck Arsenal over then leave.
Rosicky was one of the few players that tried to make things happen once he came on. Let's not go overboard here.
Roshity is one bottling , useless fucking *word censored*, there was a challenge on the half way line that he should have slid in for and he just let the Swansea player take it by him, I really can't stand this *word censored* and to say ''he tried to make things happen'' well you must be on a wind up pal..
