No idea what he was doing for the third goal.

I still don't see the fantastic goalkeeper others see.

Which trendy nightspot shall he frequent tonight to show off in? After his amazing contributions at Fulham and Swansea; I think he's earned it.

What sort of person, after a bitter defeat like today, runs to bump up an old thread? You sad, sad man.

It wasn't a bitter defeat.

It was a typical, lethargic, uninspired Arsenal display.

What would you have him do, create a new thread saying how he fucked it for the third goal?

You know how them mods love a repeat thread.
It left a bitter taste in my mouth because we had a chance to close the gap on those above us but we failed.

He doesn't have to create a new one, Babacunte could have kept it on the match thread. Instead he chooses to bump this up to have a dig at one of our better players and to generally be a twat. You do have to wonder about the mental state of a person whose first thought of a defeat is "I know! I'm going to bump up that old thread praising our keeper and have a laugh at him!"

Come on man, just look a thread down to see yet another Walcott thread. But is it more acceptable to have a go at him?

You didn't really think we were going to close any kind of gap really did you? You can't have been surprised that the match went the way it did after about 20 minutes even though we were 1 up.

We have been watching the same Arsenal over the last 12-18 months haven't we?

Thank you for explaining this to the braindead bitter Wenger acolytes Number 5. If I'd made a new thread would that have been better hmmm?

Chesney played like a c**** today.
This thread is about the feeling that Chesney is a big time Charlie who cares more about being noticed and famous, than bring a top pro.
Today, he deserves stick for that shit he pulled.

Simple.

Oh and "bitter defeat"??!
LOL

More like total football schooling.
Bitter defeat is Liverpool cup final 2001.

But yourself a thesaurus son, there's a good Arsene boy...
Pffft

His distribution is getting worse, and it was appalling to begin with. His best clearances are skewed into the stands around the half way line. Fucked up at Fulham and again today. Costing us points just like Flappy and Coco did. Worrying.

Being based in Brazil, I understand you wouldn't know N17 from East 17.
Fair enough. Let's be honest, never honna take the words of a long-distance " Gooner" seriously now am I? Your jibes are hilarious, you wouldn't know Pat Jennings from Pat Butcher...

Great answer though, playground level. " you Spud".

The bitter anger from MM99 is also comedy gold...

He's another that has become too comfortable in his surroundings because he knows who he's competing against.

Look at De Gea, 17m worth of bench fodder at the moment, he will come back stronger as a result of knowing he has to fight for his place.

His positioning was obviously poor for the 3rd goal (cant remember the 2nd  ) but am still not sure that he warrants the stick he is getting :o Bear in mind that I am not defending him cos I can see no wrong in the guy cos I was one of the bigger critics of his twitter crap during the week but it is that same arrogance that is and will continue to cite criticism until he learns to shup his mouth off the pitch and consistantly prove his quality on the pitch. He is yet another product of the wenger school of management that see's the players cocooned in their own little bubble without having to accept responsibility for anything

The other keepers in our squad make Chesney look better than he actually is

This ^.

We have become so used to the awful shite that is Flappy, The Waiter and Manone that Chesney looked like a new Jennings or Seamo when he came through.

But (and I've said it before) Chesney is not a top level keeper by any means. He is still very poor at distribution, positioning and decision making. He still has loads to learn. But he is young, inexperienced and should (hopefully) get better. He needs games to build his confidence and to learn. Unfortunatelt we cannot afford to carry his learning curve at the moment. We need a top keeper in there, not someone learning their craft.

His twitter idiocy and arrogance are a different matter though. He is starting to come across as a big mouth arrogant twat. All talk and no action to back it up. He should close his twitter account, stop giving interviews, and knuckle down and work his bollocks off to learn what he needs to.

I thing he can become a top keeper, but he is miles away from that at the moment.

Spot on..... We should have got a keeper like Friedel and let Chesney learn out of the spotlight for a season or 2 and then give him the chance at number 1

Just another in the long list of positions that the Self Harmer failed to address. I'm not going to pile into Chesney. I warned against over promoting him on the back of one decent season for Brentford. He should be competing with an experienced number 1 for the first team shirt rather than guaranteed it. He's made some mistakes, as is to be expected but he's still better than the three others we have. Mannone has played 10 games for the first team in total in how many years ??? Almunia is earning a first team salary and is 3rd choice and as for the other useless *word censored*, words fail me

Add it to the list of Wenger's dumbing down of positions that started with the break-up of the Invincibles side and has continued ever since. A select reminder of the decisions our Dear Leader has made in that time:

- Sell one of Europe's finest left backs and replace him with a tempermental troublemaker + £5m....then go on to make him team captain

- Sell Gilberto and Diarra in the same year convinced that your other CDM, one paced plodder Flamoney will stay, only to lose all three for the princely sum of £6.5m, spending the proceeds on 18 year old Aaron Ramsey and 17 year old Francis Coquelin. Effectively guarantee Alex Song the CDM role

- Give 5 year deals to Denilson, Vela, Bendtner and Fabianski - players that Stevie Wonder could see after a dozen games would never ever be good enough to wear the shirt. Let their wages drain 150k per week or so out of the club and farm them out on loan as nobody wants them

- Having endured the worst of Eboue for years on end, sell him eventually and then replace him with a guy who has played eight games for Charlton Athletic, throwing him to the wolves in an 8-2 defeat at Old Trafford that also saw Traore, lansbury and co. get their arses tanked

- Play your only fit left back in the dead rubber in Greece and watch him pick up a 3 month injury

- Sign "super quality" Park as a first team squad striker and claim that he was amongst your main transfer targets. Watch him fail to even make an impact at reserve level during a six month "adaption period". Desperately recall a 34 year old striker when it becomes apparent that the Camel and Super Quality are unlikely to score more than 2 PL goals between them all season

I could go on......

Point is Chesney's over-promotion is just one on a long, long list of almighty balls-ups. I expect to hear he's signed a 50k per week 5 year deal shortly....
