ARSENE'S RECORDS

Post by Babatunde »

So there's been a few records Wenger has amassed over the past two years.

Last season, Wenger became the first manager in CL history to go a whole 90 minutes without registering a single shot on goal in a CL match. At the Nou Camp. Even Almeria and Bratislava managed this.

Last season, Arsene Wenger became the first manager in PL history to fail to win a match his team were leading 4-0 in.

This season, Wenger continues to add to his Legendaru status:

After Swansea, Arsene Wenger now officially has overseen the worst Arsenal away defensive record at this stage, of any Arsenal manager of the past 50 years.

Speaking of Swansea, the winner they scored is officially the fastest goal scored straight after an opposition goal, in PL history!

The Swansea match also added to another record: Arsene Wenger has now officially, ratio wise, become the Top 6 manager to have thrown away the most leads, turned into defeats!!!

Add that to the 8-2 record at OT this season. Yet another record.

Oh and one more too. Blackburn this season was the first time an Arsenal manager had seen his team score three goals to a bottom three side, and lose the match.

In Arsene We Trust

Great post, well timed, yes the man has become a fucking embarrassment of the highest order.
I would suggest he probably holds the record for blaming referees for his teams defeats.
How much longer must we suffer the ignominy of having this decrepid old has been at the helm of our once proud club.

Wenger is merely a shield deflecting attention away from the main problem which is Kroenke and the board.

whilst everyone keeps patting Kroenke on the back and paying a year in advance for their tickets nothing will change.

you could fill a page in here with his positive records as well, but i personally prefer only one: only manager in modern times to win the league unbeaten. how about that? or better than that: the man who bought thierry and said he was to be a striker. another, another: the man who prolonged the old back four's playing time (that said by themselves). winner of TWO doubles, perhaps?

it's great to turn him into a horrendous monster - but it's also childish and bitter. let's not forget he's one of the greatest managers in our history. this 'extremist' vision of things takes us nowhere and helps us see nothing. it's like trying to explain the appearance of mankind by reading the bible.

he lost his marbles, and he's no good for arsenal anymore, but i do think he's like that old grandma who still wants you to eat food when you're full as fuck - he's doing what he thinks is best, when he's clearly lost it. the fact that he stills makes us profit every year (and until this far, was keeping us on the top 4) is what makes the board keep him, and we should be aiming our chants of change to them.

wenger's lost it, no tactics, no motivation, shit signings. but ridiculing him like we do here pisses me right off. he IS an arsenal legend after all. his problem is that no one inside the club has the balls to send him home.

I am beginning to think that should we lose to Spurs then maybe he should go because his great record is starting to look a bit tarnished.

but we should not forget he is responsible for the 2nd greatest era in the history of the club
