The Myth Busted

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

goal 1 - he should have done his homework to see where Sinclair places his penalties

goal 2 - should have blocked the shot

goal 3 - all over the place for this one, was probably still celebrating the equaliser like the rest of the team

Have to agree hlebby, the third goal was well taken, and Ramsey was solely responsible for the other 2.
Maybe we need to bring Al or Flappy back to remind us of what we have been missing.

He made the job a lot easier for the Swasea striker by rushing out and leaving himself in no man's land. Can't fault him for the other 2 goals (when did we start blaming keepers for conceeding penalties?). It is not his tweeting habits or arrogance by the lack of competition he has in the side which could prove detrimental for Chesney's development. Knowing you are the undisputed number one at Arsenal may leave a door open for complacency for a 21 yr old, specially where there arn't too many (if any) disciplinarians around him.

I think the biggest myth is actually the one about "playing great football". The one about resources has already been blown apart by Spurs, whilst we are level on points with potless Newcastle midway through the season

His one crutch to fall back on has been the media showering him with the praise of "Arsenal still playing the best football in the country", but the media are starting to catch on to what we've known for a while longer. Have you heard the comments recently about "this is a different looking Arsenal now" ?

The football is so dull now, I'll actually be nodding in agreement when we go to the Britannia and the neanderthals are all chanting "BORING BORING" as we tippy tappy it around in front of their defence and midfield.

This is the most boring Arsenal team since GG's days of over promoted plodders like Hillier, Morrow, and Selley with the odd cheap as chips import like Jensen or Lydersen . That team had a top notch striker in Wright that saved them from oblivion. Sounds like history repeating itself to me....

How do you know he didn't? After all he dived the right way but was beaten by a well struck shot.

Yeah right, of course he should have.

Of course his positioning could have been better and thus the keeper has to take a bit of the blame for the last one, but the fact that we had possession a couple of seconds earlier, contrived to lose it in our own half and then allowed one of their forwards to get in behind our main centre-half (who obviously wasn't aware of his presence as he didn't seem to initially be sprinting all-out to get to the ball first) couldn't have prevented the goal happening then?
