Wenger Out Banner

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

surely there should be several banners being displayed by now if people feel this strongly?

I would take a banner in myself next time I go to say "KROENKE OUT" as I consider him to be the bigger problem in the context of things. However until Wenger and the board spend some more money I am boycotting the club until further notice. If they won't spend then why should I?
You could even extend your ban to not buying alcohol on Champion League nights!!!

 Quality, but unfortunately very close to the truth. I reckon any unveiling will now be greeted with pantomime jeers and mocking. It's been left to long and is now nothing more than an object of ridicule.

Sid, easy to say that when you don't go to games and have done jack all to act on your beliefs except incoherently rant on the internet, isn't it? Glass houses and all that...

SWL no I don't go to games, I stopped after our 3-1 beating by utd a couple of seasons ago, and won't be back until either Wenger goes or a protest is organised to get him out, whichever comes first.
That, as a fan who lives in another country is unfortunately the best I can do to "act on my beliefs" ie boycott games.
And what exactly have you done to "act on yor beliefs"? Made an "apologetic" anti wenger banner, displayed it on the internet, bottled a perfect time to show it, thus allowing those who may disagree with your views time to make pro-wenger banners and according to you threats.
Had you shown the fucking thing when you should have, then pro-wenger supporters wouldn't have had time to react.
I have nothing against you personally, in fact we are "on the same side", but you have blown it with the banner, accept it and burn the fucking thing, because it really has become a bad long running fucking joke, which has done more harm than good to any future protests.

we'll probably lose next sunday, possibly dropping us to 7th below Newcastle and Liverpool. Might not need the banner soon, the board/Wenger might well call it day by mutual agreement if we finish outside the top 6.

.....yeah but that'll be due to special circumstances, in fact circumstances that unfortunately have been in place for 5 years.

But Sid if it was unravelled in front of Wenger in the east stand at the United game say, you don't think it would send a message to him or the board?

Even if it made them uncomfortable, I'd do it to the *word censored*.

Any initial impact it would have made has been somewhat diluted as it has featured on just about every internet medium on which gooners participate.
I also think any banner should have two words on it "WENGER OUT" not a wishy washy "but we still love you Arsene" apology for not being happy with him.
In any case as far as I can see they have no intention of showing it on Sunday, so I wouldn't hold my breath KJ.

If SWL displays the banneron sunday, then sid should fuck off for good. If the banner isn't displayed on sunday, SWL should fuck off for good.

I won't even be there as I'm going ski-ing for a week on Sunday.

Go on SWL. If you don't want to do it, give it to someone else to put up (Mikey's mate). I might have chipped in £50, but it's got to the point where I've written that off. It needs to be shown at United. Live on Sky and Billions watching around the world. I don't even mind if you put it up in Club Level and then run away. As long as it's seen. :banghead: :banghead:
