Milan away
Milan away
Alright lads/Lasses
Sorry for invading your forum, i'm a Liverpool fan who's going to Milan on Monday, just wondering whether you'd answer a few questions on your recent trip to Milan.
Theres been a lot of speculation up here that we would be locked in for 2 hours, was that the case?
Also, was the public transport still running after you were allowed to leave the stadium?
Any bars stay open late?
And the all important question.....was there an alcohol ban?

Hi mate,
* There is no alcohol ban most importantly haha.
* We got locked in for 1 hour after and was watching arsenal greatest moments.
* i dont believe the public transport was still available but i may be wrong and i would doubt the bars would be open after, not mid week.
All the best mate, safe journey and that, cant say i want the pool to win though haha.

Public transport was still running and you dont need to pay on the return leg on the metro back into town - at least virtually everyone i saw didnt...
The bar on Duomo square may be open when you get back - and no there wasnt an alcohol ban.
My advice to you would be to go to a supermarket way before the game and get a few pallets full of cola sized cans of beer such as Heineken and stella which are roughly priced at between 44 and 50 cents each. (go down the street next to Zara) - much cheaper as the price of a beer ranges from 5 euros to 9 euros in the pubs.

There was certainly no alcohol ban.
Head for the English pub called the football is 5 Euros a pint but is pretty good also they have super tennants on tap (9%!!!). As you are facing with your back to the cathedral head north west. In the main square it's 10 euro for a litre glass though if you're sitting down on their chairs when they serve you they'll stick a euro or 2 on top of that. Also on match day there'll be people walking round selling large bottles of beer think they're bit over a pint for 5 euros, but can be haggled down to 4. Also if you head towards the burger king to the left of the cathedral as you're facing it they sell 33cl bottle of strong ale for 3euro. Hope that's a good alcohol guide. DO NOT CHANGE YOUR MONEY UP IN DUOMO. got offered 51 euros for £50.
how's that for an alcohol guide. (i was the really drunk bloke down the english pub on the monday and the really drunk bloke in the main square on the tuesday
)
The tubes stayed open on the day of the match passed 12, i got on a tube at about 12:15 but i was on one of the first trains and there were loads queuing behind so i presume they kept it open for longer.

Yea if anyone offers you anything "for free" that guarantees long life just keep on walking, will take you about 10 minutes of walking til they leave you alone. Before they try and put it on your shoulder and then claim you've taken one off them and then demand some paper money. AND WATCH YOUR POCKETS
