Is this season enough to keep RVP??

I get increasingly concerned that RvP will leave.

He may well get a pay rise this summer, but is it enough to keep him?

As fecund a scorer as he has been this season, anything over £15M for him would be good business considering his injury record.

But not a bigger pay deal than at least 5 other clubs could offer him - all of whom will be winning trophies whilst we're dicking around on a cold Thursday night in Luxembourg playing Chamakh up front on his own.

Wonder what he'll do ?

what if vP's injury record is such that the big teams won't really consider paying top dollar for him and big wages as well? if you were a big club like madrid or barcelona or munich for example, would you pay many millions of pounds and 100k+ a week for a 29 year old who before 2011 couldn't manage a few months without a long term injury? i can't see van persie playing much beyond 33 years old as well... wouldn't it be better to spend that money in high quality younger players who can actually stay fit, like hazard, goetze, cavani, lavezzi, etc?

it's just a thought that came to my mind, maybe i'm talking rubbish here.
I see what you mean but with only a year left on his contract his price would be relatively small compared to if he had 5 years left, so i can imagine them taking a gamble on him. Either that or let him see his contract out and get him for free is a definate possibility
so this is the famous, "yeah, i completely see where your coming from, i get what you mean, but you are absurdly and astonishingly wrong, you stupid fool"???

i say 'cause i use that a lot

Arsenal club shop have just announced a new item. The Robin Van Persie tea tray. Apparently it can hold up 10 mugs for a full season.

Got sent this buy a 'mate', he has a point :(
We will only keep him if man city or barca dont get bored with the players they have at the moment :(

I'm looking forward to all the posts that come out after he leaves.

"He was holding the team back by being the only goalscorer"

"He fucking owed us after we paid his wages through all those injuries."

"He was over rated"

"Greedy *word censored* has only gone for the money"

"Now we can put Oxlade Chamberlain and Walcott up front for the next 5 years, those guys really know what it is to love the club"

Any and all of the above will be doing the rounds on here come June.
