As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Can't argue with a word of that article. Was watching PL years the other day and AW said 2nd place wasnt good enough, the man has become a shadow of his former self and after gambling with youth and failing, his introduction of experience bar arteta has been awful
The transfer market has changed too much for him to find a decent player for pennies. He is struggling in the current state of football with mid table teams having better players and his fear of spending big on players that can keep ahead of them
The guy can't win and we can only hope he realises this and moves on before his legacy is tarnished even further. I'm scared about our future atm and shudder at what state the club will be in 2-3 years

Man I've depressed myself!
Agree with what you say and more...jokes and slurs aside I think what Wenger is doing to Arsenal is awful, but also i believe what Wenger is doing to himself is worse. Someone has to tell him , if he can't see it himself.
After the Leeds game I was as euphoric about Henry's return as anyone, Sunday deflated that feeling and I felt I was watching the greatest symptom of Wenger's demise on my TV. The failure to see reality. This season is beyond saving, the Milan game at the Grove may be the last home Champions League game at home for a while. The season is beyond saving and the media are now realising that Wenger is beyond saving. Of course Arsenal as a football club are not beyond saving, but only Wenger or the board can do that. The board won't so it's down to you Arsene..Please go now.
The article is pointing out nothing that hasn't been said by numerous pundits and many others besides.
Unlike Fergie who has completed whatever metamorphosis required to adapt to both the changing transfer market and the evolving styles of football played in the plge, Wenger has simply grown older and more resistant to change.
They still might even pip a nervy Citeh to the title this time round, despite on paper being a hugely inferior team, just like they seemed to do to Wenger everytime we were going for back to back titles.
The simple fact is Wenger is finished, and there will be no realisation on his part as to what needs to be done.
