Diaby captain, but for christ sake he earns 85K a week for what?

I must say I agree with BG on most of his posts, there are lot's experience players to whom our sqaud carriers.

How many of the current team/squad would actually make it into MAN C MAN U??? We havd developed way way to many players that are just not up to the mark. Competition for places fair enough, but our back players just do not deliver at all.

Out of curiosity, who'd you replace Walnutt with?
I suppose he'd have to go on the bench somewhere as even he's not as shit as most of that starting 11.
There no place on the bench.
Come on man! Have some balls who you gonna remove?!

This was why Theo & Song didn't make the cut. Worrying isn't it! :banghead:
One of the keepers, you don't have two on a bench!!!
Hell fire remainder of crap on crap.

I actually vote for the XI on Sunday...less; Szczesny, Koscielny and RVP

Gervinho
Ox
Arshavin (when arsed)

16 players max! LOL.
17 if you include Benayoun.

Good squad player and better than Rosicky.
Mertesacker, Benayoun and Gervinho are all total shite. Fact. And neither would get anywhere near the Newcastle starting eleven!

That they are being mentioned as decent players on here shows what a joke Arsenal have become.

I agree with you on Mertescaker. He is woeful.

I just can't agree with you regarding Benayoun because he is a decent off the bench player. No question about it. he ISN'T a starter though. Gervinho isn't a striker, he's an attacking id and a very good one. Just being played wrong.

Amazing logic on here

Diaby should be captain despite having been injured for the season, but that doesn't apply to Gibbs apparently !

Abou's wages also seem to have spiralled from 65k per week to 85k per week during the course of the thread. Fuck me he has landed himself quite a deal there, with increases of £20k per week being applied each hour.

By the way I've heard that Abou is solely responsible for the Eurozone crisis.

Funny how his long absence has coincided with us slipping out of the top 4, lacking creativity and goalscoring support from midfield. Still Arshavin, Rosicky, Walcott and Benayoun have all been models of consistency in his absence

Yes, all grim for us, though Pates was OK at Chelsea and Chapman went onto good things with Leeds.
Suppose Lydersen's most noticeable contribution for us was his "part" in the George Graham bung affair!
I actually originally had Pates down but swapped him for Tavlaridis.

No. Because the opening paragraph did not say that.

Vela
Chamakh
Bendtner

Mannone
Fabianski
Arshavin
Park
Botelho
Lansbury*
Watt*

* - I was filling spaces but that's be honest they are not that young anymore so if they were good enough they'd be playing by now. There only still on the books because they are young, English and products of Arsenal = £££

Ok the word Current wasn't stated but it's fairly obvious that it is comprised of players still here or out on loan that we haven't been able to get shot of.

For the record I would have given Lansbury a season here - he would have got game time and puts effort in.

Just fucking with Stuart now...

My Guilty-pleasure Arsenal XI (shit/average players who I liked in my lifetime...)

GK. Vince Bartram (he had the name, just not the skills :( )
RB. Luzhny (loved the horse 8) )
LB. Silvinho (bloody passports! who needs 'em eh?)
CB. Stepanovs (he was amazing against Chelsea that day at Highbury... what went wrong?)
CB. Morrow (scored a cup final winner, then dropped by Mr Arsenal!)
RM. McGoldrick (when playing in the park, my friend used to pretend he was Romario... I went for McGoldrick  )
CM. Grimandi (Centre back/centre midfielder... the poor man's Lothar Mattheus)
CM. Stephen Hughes (our 90s version of Jack Wilshere)
LM. Helder (the poor man's Overmars)
CF. Wreh (cousin of George Weah and scored a vital goal or 2 in 1998. Never forgotten)
CF. Park (can't explain it... I just like the lad. Never seen him play mind; who has? :? )
