As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Nothing has happened. Not a single quality player has been bought by anyone. At best a decent CB in Cahill has moved and TH has joined for a couple of weeks. In Spain the story is the same. It may be that the new oil dollars will acquire Tevez, but from a domestic viewpoint it's been a borefest.
I suspect that many clubs would accept a big offer but none appear to be being made. It wouldn't take much to improve our current squad but again, nothing.
It's emblematic that Nigel 'I want even more money' de Jong, who's not going anywhere is the papers' biggest domestic transfer story.
Come on AW, make a headline!
it is interesting isn't it? why isn't anyone moving? not even the rich clubs like city or the rich clubs that obviously need some changes in their squad like chelsea... weird
maybe they're not being able to move their dross away (like sending us kalou ) and the 25 man squad rules is fucking them?
january is never filled with huge signings, but this is surely a historic low?
Arsenal have offered €18m for Demba Ba, via @Futbal_Mercado
Also Zenit have offered €8m for Arshavin.
Sound unlikely to be honest- Dirty Harry has been telling his media mates all about Bas release clause and its much less than 18m euros.
If Zenit offer us 8m euros for Arshavin we should take it and give the Ox more games.
Not really seen much of Demba Ba but if he is that good then why didn't we buy him when he left West Ham? We've had half season wonders before - Nasri, Flamini - so maybe he has just had a good start to the season.
Also, I thought that the release clause was merely the amount someone would need to offer to force the club into negotiations. Seems likely to me that no-one would just offer the amount to trigger the clause but would go in with an amount to try to seal the deal before anyone else came in. Still, don't think that will be us!
