Saggy chops trial

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Prosecution say the payments of $295,000 were "bungs or offshore bonuses which parties had no intention of declaring for tax"

What do you think the slimey toad will say in respect to receiving the bung/bonus ?
Also , Scum fans are pretending not to care and are hoping he does get done so he won't be offered Engerland job. Surely Levy (Gollum) will have to sack him (re GG)?

Well signs are Levy has been in charge of the transfers etc for quite a while, imo as he sees Redknapp as on his way either to England or to Wormwood Scrubs.

If he got done for it he would be sacked.

"Well it was a triffic offer, from a triffic bloke who thought I was doing a triffic job. Only a mug would want to offend someone by turning down his triffic show of appreciation and generous offer - which was triffic - so I didn't."

It was interesting listening to the evidence already submitted.

It would appear that there is concrete evidence that:
a) Money was paid from Mandaric to 'Arry and
b) It wasn't declared to the tax authorities

Given that ignorance of the law is no defence I'm intrigued to see what defence they use. Try to blame poor accountancy advice? The 'I was just about to declare it' defence? The 'I never bothered to declare all the other bungs I received and Mark Hughes and Big Sam told me they didn't declare theirs (alledgedly)'? I suspect their best chance is to try and make their defence as complicated as possible so that (as legal history has consistently shown) the jury gets baffled and acquit. Being celebrities (ask Stevie 'I chased him with all my mates and kicked the shit out of him in self-defence' G) is sure to help.
Let's just hope there's a few Gooners on the jury.

Apparently 'Arry used his dog's name for the name of the Monaco account. Anybody know the dog's name?
