Sorry if this is somewhere else, but apparently our 22 year old Brazilian LEFT BACK/left midfielder, Pedro Botelho, joined Levante on loan 4 days ago.
What's the deal with him?? - can he still not get a visa? or have we decided that, even at 22 years of age, he still isn't worth giving a chance at left back for us even though we're absolutely desperate?!
We've now loaned him out FIVE times to Spanish teams, so if Wenger doesn't rate him, why the fuck is he still on our books??

he surely doesn't have a visa, he never played for the national team at any level. the question is: how many years do you have to play in spain to get an european visa? i think that's what we're waiting for. i think we tried to get one of those 'special talent' visas for him a few years ago but were denied.
anyway, i don't think he's good enough for us.

i don't know mate, wasn't that 5 years? i have no clue, this is a wild guess
It's not about a visa, it's about getting an EU passport.
You have to have lived in Spain for five years to apply for citizenship and so be given a Spanish passport, which makes them elegible to play in England without requiring a work permit or visa.
I don't know if that's the case with this kid, but certainly for Wellington and also previously Carlos Vela this was what we tried to do.

Oops, I meant passport, not visa!
5 years eh... well, according to wikipedia, he joined in July 2007 so maybe we'll have a "super quality" player arriving in the summer after all!
