Yeh right.....sp*rs haven't spent much on players

http://www.transferleague.co.uk/league- ... -2011.html

2006 to 2011 £243million spent, nett spend £81million.

Nowhere near as much as city, of course, but still a fair lump.

Arsenal's nett spending for the same period is MINUS £31million.(

Mind you that's only £16m per year over the period, which isn't really that much. If we had done the same (which i'm sure we could have, especially over the past couple of years) and built on what we already had at the club, then I'm sure we would have won a few more trophies.

Don't forget that Spurs' income over that period has also increased substantially to the point where their turnover at the last look is at £160m, which isn't that far behind our turnover. The worst bit of all is that it's all been achieved without C.L. money (apart from one year) and while playing in a stadium that holds only 36,000!! :banghead: :banghead: If nothing else it should put in perspective the claims from the club, manager and AKB's that 'we can't compete because of money'.

i no we dnt spend much but i am sure we have spent more then 85m since 2006

i think we spent 50ish in the summer

Gervinho 12
ox 12
arteta 10
nobsacker 8
andre santon 6
jenko 1

any1 else i have forgot, which means that we have spent 35 million in the last 4 seasos before, i am sure that is wrong, kos tv and squid equal about £22 of that

Sounds about right.

I'm not totally sure about all these figures. Like when is the start point and the cut-off point. It's the only source i could find.

But I'm fairly sure that sp*rs have spent shedloads. Which is why I find the scum comment (about city's spending) a bit amusing. :D
