SPUDS AT HOME

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Really really torn over attending this game - there is no game in the season that I would rather attend when we win than this one but on the flip side last seasons defeat still burns me and is the single biggest factor why I have not gone as often this season

Prior to the swansea game I was def gonna travel over for game v scum but that defeat convinced me to change my mind. Now after listening to last sunday's barracking of wenger it has encouraged me to believe that more stick might be heading wengers way and I want to be there when/if it happens 8)

This will be the one. Will probably be the only time we manage to drown the spuds, in their joy (bastards), out if we unite in our displeasure!

No more than a thousand or so singing "You don't know what you're doing", rounded upon by AKBs. I wouldn't get too excited

As I mentioned before. A scraped 1-0 win against Leeds and its "There's Only One Arsene Wenger" time

These rumours are the sort that the AKBs thrive on, just like last time he was off to Madrid a couple of seasons ago.

The pro-Wenger songs will be louder than ever if we beat Villa, there will be talk of an FA Cup final success being the "springboard" for our young players, and all will be well again.

Those "real fans have patience" banners will be up long before the "Wenger out" ones

Thats still a massive improvement on what we could muster even at the back end of last season. More and more AKBs are being forced onto the fence, a tonking by the scum should see those *word censored* drowned out altogether.

Have faith my son 8)

If Wenger goes, of his own accord, it will be very unlikely that it is mid-season.

He will know that throwing a strop and walking out devalues his worth for his next job.

I have little doubt that Real Madrid will meet him this summer, but I think Wenger's pride will make him try to see out his contract with us.

And I think that Kroenke will take more persuading than some fan action to sack Wenger.

But a further run of league defeats could tip the balance with the board, which I reckon right now is 65:35 in Wenger's favour.

Aah yes. Isn't it strange how those " Wenger to Real" stories mysteriously surface whenever Le Tit is under intense scrutiny hmmmm? Just like when David Dein gave that Football Focus interview!

Look people. Arsene Wenger will NEVER join Real. For one their fans don't rate or want Wenger, a manager who's won nothing for seven years and never won the CL. Wenger himself would last about five minutes at Real. The minute he comes out with "I'd take second place" his desk will already be cleared!

This is a classic. Wenger is under the cosh and he knows it. So now it's time to use every trick and contact to take the pressure off. He is so very precious our Dear Leader isn't he? Why has this " Wenger to Real" story only surfaced now eh? Is it that Real have seen the last three consecutive Arsenal defeats and decided to make their move!

This is all too obvious. This is Wenger's way of throwing a strop but lets call the egomaniac's bluff! Go on go to Real. He won't last two weeks there the pressure to actually WIN and deliver results would be a shock to him.

Still. I expect Red Action will be holding another serenade Mardi Gras parade for Dear Leader in their love Wenger t-shirts, as they did the last time the "Wenger to Real" story somehow resurfaced (when he began to be criticised in public) and a new contract until 2021 will be signed off the back of that

Very hard to disagree with anything baba has just said there - fact is that the grilling wenger got at that shareholders meeting proceeded the wenger to Madrid story by literally just a few days. This of course led to the shameful and embarrassing redaction "real fans have real patience" march that will forever kill their credibility as far as I am concerned (not saying that they should give a fcuk either way).

Baba is also 100% correct when he says that wenger in his current guise would last no time at Madrid - his sanctimonious crap and principles won't count for shit over there if he ain't winning plus there are very strong characters both in the dressing room and boardroom who would not be slow to question his authority

Personally I hope he does fcuk off to madrid

Funnily enough and as unlikely as it might seem to us given his acknowledged weaknesses, he may just succeed at Real Madrid. :? Hear me out: You see, their squad is already packed full of quality players (unlike our one) and he might just have to do what he tried unsuccessfully to do here - appeal to the players' egos by telling them how wonderful they are. Because most of them really are very good, he would actually be telling the truth. This might be enough to make the prima donnas perform even better, as those type normally like nothing better than getting their ego's massaged.

Then again.........
