Interesting that Mandaric's version of events is totally different to Arry's.
Good; because the jury has to accept that there's some lying going on but
Bad; because they may then side more with one of the scumbags (Arry) than the other.

I agree with the previous poster who said that the case can look very different once the defence starts its case, but the evidence looks pretty damming at the moment (fingers crossed).

And another thing.....

In a wider context, I truly hope that if he's found gulity (Pleeeeeese!) that he gets sent down, because I suspect most of us believe that this sort of thing has been widespread for a long time and I wonder how many times managers, who receive these huge amounts for buying and selling players, have their judgement clouded.
Was Arry totally convinced that selling Crouch was in the very best interests of Portsmouth FC or did the hundreds of thousands of pounds that he knew he would receive for selling him play a part in his decision?

Thats what troubles me tbh, if I was a club owner I would never give bonuses based on selling people on for profit, I'd give bonuses based on league position. What if your manager sells someone for £1m profit and get a nice hundred grand in his pocket only for you to find that its actually a crap decision, your team stops scoring goals and you end up relegated, costing £50 million or whatever it is nowadays, seems a daft thing to reward a manager for. League positions or overall financial performance of the club should be the only things they get a bonus for

What a flash arry and what a prick

"I wish I could leave a hundred grand lying around". Redknapp "Well I can Rob"

Redknapp "Do I need 30 f***ing grand avoid 30 grand income tax? Do I need that Rob? I mean 30 f***ing grand! I'll f***ing give you 30 grand"

"That $100,000 was from Rosie47 to First Star International in Florida. R's fax ended with 'Many thanks for your cooperation, Harry Redknapp.' David Cusdin is now going to face cross examination from the defence barristers. I'm heading back into Court."

Don't sound good for the old Twitch

Unfortunately, the first defence argument that might actually stick has come up - that he forgot about it...

"Under cross examination, David Cusdin revealed that eventually Rosie47 became classed as 'dormant'. Cusdin said that an account can only be classed as 'dormant' if there's been no contact from the client for a minimum of 2 years"

It's not an absolute defence as the money was in there in the first place...but it's alright, 'Arry's bank manager has dropped him in the shit again:

"Jury's been hearing from Alan Hills at HSBC private banking in UK. He was Redknapp's banking relationship manager. Hills told the Court that Redknapp didn't tell him about the Monaco account until 2008 - nearly 6 years after it was opened. Hills said he would have expected to have been told much earlier about Monaco account. At one stage Hills requested details of Redknapp's assets and liabilities, and Redknapp hadn't mentioned Rosie47 at the time. Hills said his surprise at not knowing about Rosie47 was even greater because he worked for HSBC. Rosie47 was held in HSBC Monaco.

"When Redknapp told Hills in 2008 about Monaco account Redknapp didn't give him any paperwork but told him there was a code word - Rosie47. Hills said he was intrigued by origin of code word and asked Redknapp for reason. Redknapp told him Rosie was his dog's name.

"Hills was asked by Redknapp to get the account in Monaco closed. Hills named the move to do that "Project Rosie"

ahahaha what a caaaant
