Rosicky staying....for now...

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

agreed. i think rosicky is one of the good players in the squad, i think he brings lots more than benayoun, ramsey or diaby for example. he doesn't have the pace to play on the wings, but he has the brain to play in the middle, also loves a tackle and isn't afraid to get stuck in.

i like him as a squad player and would be happy if he stays. there are lots of other players who contribute much less and that should be far away from The Arsenal, thomas is certainly not one of them.
Hold on a minute.....I seem to remember Ramsey scoring, getting in goal scoring opportunities, making the keeper work and a couple of assists and this is a player in his first full season.
Roshitky....does none of the above and how long have we had him?
GET RID !!

ROSICKY

Post by Herd »

I'm not making excuses for him ,he had a good game on Sunday,he was good before he got injured but hasn't done much since.

He might yet do something useful for us but don't let that stop the usual negative shit If it makes you feel better .

ramsey is probably the worst finisher in this team together with our wingers. how many sitters has rambo missed this season alone? how many times did we lose posession because he tries too many tricks or slows tempo too much?

rosicky doesn't finish, but rarely loses posession on the other hand. he is a better tackler than ramsey as well.

it's a matter of opinions, but i find rambo to be a bit too 'brazilian' with his touches, while rosicky is more direct and efficient. he doesn't finish, but look at the sitter that RvP lost against manure - rambo would've missed it himself instead of giving the ball.

Extending his contract sums up evrything thats wrong at the club at the moment; pennywise, pound foolish & full of mediocrity.

Terrible player who had couple of lucky 25yards shots at WC2006 and he's been living off those ever since...

how many attempts at the goal since then? the problem isn't his finishing, thing is that he rarely goes inside the box, and always prefers passing to shooting - ramsey on the other hand always tries the shot - and misses them. only difference is that rosicky will leave team mates one on one (like rvp against united) where ramsey will end the attacking play by shooting it to row z.
