Saggy chops trial

its piss funny, but if does go down, **** will get mourinho i reckon, so its not necessarily a great outcome for us, as funny though as it would be.

if he just gets fined can see levy keeping him on.

he west ham forum reckon he will get off though i think.

It's down to the jury so personalities sometimes overcome what would otherwise seem to be overwhelming evidence of guilt. Another high profile celebrity tax case was Ken Dodd - and all the evidence seemed to point to him being 99.9% guilty....and he got off.

From what I've heard so far twitchy's defence is stupidity/ignorance.....which I always thought was no defence at all.....! The case doesn't look particularly complicated so looks every bit as obvious that he is guilty as charged, but so was Ken Dodd!

If he does get convicted then, whether he goes down or not, it is very difficult to see the FA not taking action against him.....! Unlikely I know, but this was football related....and involving a club who have since been involved in severe financial difficulties! Apart from not disclosing this to the tax man, he also didn't disclose it to the FA!

Whether he's guilty or not and what sentence he gets are decided separately. The jury decides the first, and that's where celebrity may help him, but it's the judge who decides the sentence and if he is convicted I think there's a decent chance he'll get some time. Here's hoping.

If he gets a sentence, when will he actually have to begin serving?

Would be as soon as the judge decides what to do with him, hopefully they will make an example of him like they did in the US with wesley snipes.
