Sanchez Watt

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

From his twatter:
I won't celebrate but it will be a good achievement to score against a top team

Think you know who he is now! But since when did a club 'let' their player on loan play against his employer? Or is this just another 'new' Arsenal thing? Basically our downfall today?

Sanchez Watt's level is with Leeds. Won't make it at Arsenal (shouldn't make it, but who knows? )

Not good enough for us.

But he looked a far more capable player than Denilson, Bendtner, Eboue, Rosicky, Squillaci et al........and (sadly) they play for us....well I use the term 'play' as a figure of speech....

Surely the point is why give your opponent any sort of advantage at all ??
We agreed to play Denilon to give them a chance, wasn't that enough.

He is our player and we should have said no.

I read that because the loan is a season long one and to a Championship side, FA rules stipulate he is legable to play.
The only time a player cannot play against his parent club is if he is at a fellow Preniership club...

Agree, would rather have him working hard wide midfield or even up front in our Carling/FA Cup sides than those players you mention above.

From Arsenal to Leeds to Sheffield Wednesday to Crawley Town !

Yep, here comes the new Mark Randall / Jay Simpson

Overall, I believe that he has great technical quality, a winning mentality etc etc

He'll end up like those two and Mannone, about ten appearances in six years

Watt was omitted from Saturday’s squad with Megson saying: “He’s a talented lad but I am not sure that League One is where his future lies at the moment. I like him as a person, he’s just not physically up to the demands of this division.
