Flash... You think showing it at HT would have been a good thing? Seriously mate?
Sid, may well be mate, things are in the balance, but tbh I can't see the harm in showing it before the game or if the game is a foregone conclusion (in either direction) as long as it's not against the Scum, Chelsea etc...

Seriously SWL mate it should have been shown at halftime. The first half was a disgrace and after 3 straight losses it was the optimum time..... In hindsight we turned it around but no one could have predicted that and you have to strike at the right timeSWLGooner wrote:Flash... You think showing it at HT would have been a good thing? The flag is pointless anyway. Do you really think a poxy 6ft flag will make any difference?
The only time the club will realise will be if the money stops coming in e.g. ticket sales. Hopefully a lot of people will hand in their season tickets during the summer when they realise there will be no cl.
Forget the flag! It wont make a difference and you will end up getting into a ruck with another supporter or thrown out of the ground. Waste of time!

i agree with you that we should have shown it at half time. then again, i suppose this reluctance is stemming from a possible ban from the ground even if it was shown at half time.flash gunner wrote:I did predict itFatChaz wrote:am i right in thinking the garden is looking rosey right now? i guess we'll have to wait till the next arse kicking...not long now, lads.![]()

SWL, you say in one breath that we shouldnt show it at half time, then you say we should show it if its a foregone conclusion as long as it aint a category a game. without hindsight, i'd say that at half time 2-0 was a foregone conclusion so we surely should have shown it.
It really doesn't matter what the score is.
Half time, before, after. It doesn't matter.
The banner reflects 6 whole years of mis-management, penny-pinching, tactical incompetency, arrogance, stubbornness, abject failure.
It reflects that the time has come and gone for excuses, lies, insults
It reflects that we have come to the end of our rope and we cant continue like this.
So timing, schmiming. The time is now and every time until Wenger goes.
Score doesn't matter. Its not about the score against Villa or Swansea or Fulham. It's much, much more important than that.

Seriously lads - which one of you hacked Herd's account this time?!!

Tonight would be a great opportunity for a banner to came out. I have no doubt whatsoever that tonight will be another limp performance full of defensive gaffes, with lots of excuses about being 'physically jaded'
I fully expect that by the end of tonight we will be cemented in 6th place, where we will stay till the end of the season (unless RvP is injured long term in which case anything down to 10th awaits), 13 points adrift of a Spurs team with revenues just over half of our own, and 6 points behind a Chelsea team stuck in transition between the old guard and AVB's new team.
The beginning of the end, but sadly not for the manager

If i was going to the game and had the bravery, a pen and a sheet I would make my own banner saying, tomorrow I will be emotionally jaded.SteveO 35 wrote:Tonight would be a great opportunity for a banner to came out.
