Wenger out billboard

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Lads there are a small few that still believe in wenger but ye have to be able to recognise the difference between one of those gullible naive sheep and somebody that is on a pure wind up and szulcu91 is a wum

I don’t want to start another thread on this topic as im as sick to death of it as the rest of you, so ill just park my thoughts here as it seemed most relevant.

I have been blowing pretty hot and cold on the whole wenger in or out or shake it all about topic, but this season I have definitely come to the conclusion that for this club to move forward (which is our motto after all) we need a new manager at the helm.

Nothing that’s not been heard before in these parts, but why im posting is that I do know a gooner of some 40 years who is a family friend and a die hard AKB (and she assures me so are all of her friends, and so are those who sit around her at the bowl) . I last saw her at a BBQ in May when I asked her is she still backed Wenger after another abject end to the season, and she said that she would see what happened over the summer, and how our 11/12 season began. She assured me that should the season’s trajectory go exactly the same of the 5/6 seasons before that then she would have to question Wengers place at the head of the table.

Fast forward 8 months and I met her again at a family do on Friday. I asked her exactly the same question (reminding her of what she had said in May) and also adding now its arguable we are in worse position then last year as 4th is probably well beyond us now. Her reply was a stone wall “As long as Wenger wants to manage the club I will back him as he has done so much for this club and he doesn’t deserve all this treatmentâ€

Ive been floating like an unflushable turd and have veered from "ahh sure now hes okay" to "I hate the bastard I wish he would leave". Now ive found a happy medium where I think he should just make a clean break from the club andhopefully leave on good terms.

I am now 100% convinced in my own mind that this club will go no further forward under Wenger.
