UFOs - yes or no?

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Being serious now. In my OP on this thread I mentioned an old friend of mine. An RAF pilot. Squadron Leader. He used to fly Nimrods over the North Atlantic. A totally straight and very conservative man. Church goer too.

He told me that he, and the entire crew, had seen a UFO. Something which couldn't possibly be explained away.

I asked him if he reported it. He said no. Then he dropped the subject completely. He had said too much. It might have put his career at risk.

I never asked him about it again.

The allusion to Attenborough and animals is too extreme. If Aliens exist and if they are visiting they may be far advanced in comparison to us or they may not be that far advanced. Possibly they are sneaking around as they are trying to figure out the best way of interacting / communicating with us in the long term without getting themselves nuked.

Also given the fact that there are possibly 10,000+ galaxies (each containing hundreds, maybe thousands of solar-type systems) that might contain life, who is to say that the Aliens visiting us (if indeed they are) are even from the same species?

Well most alien 'lore" suggests that there have been visits by:

Greys (humanoids with hairless skin, large eyes, small noses and skinny limbs).

Nordics (tall, well built blonde chaps).

Reptilians (shape shifting walking reptiles).

Elves (Three foot tall, green skin).

If true, then we might have been visited by inhabitants of a very amazing planet, or by inhabitants from different planets, or even different galaxies.
Or even different time periods, time travelling through space-time to visit us.

And who is to say that aliens come from another planet, they might live in secret places on earth?

Haha.

But if the aliens came from earth and lived in caves, then they would not necessarily be humans. They would be another earth species, so not aliens, correct.

But not one of us either!

But if the aliens were humans who had gone into space in the future, and had evolved into hairless "greys", then travelled back in time to visit us, would they be aliens?

This phenomenon is written about in the Fortean Times.
I think it is quite possible that your sixth sense alerted you to being under the gaze of a malevolent presence.

No fun at all, but at least you knew about it and could be on alert.
