No swearing as well?!?! Are the mods the stewards at the space bowl??
I love wenger, gazidis, hill wood and buy every bit of arsenal merchandise. Is that right mods?
PC brigade gone mad now. As for no use of ****? Ill stop saying it when the scum stop using it.
Too many rules for a forum used by average joes supporting their team. This is football FFS
i dont know why we bother sometimes but i will start by saying WE have never told anyone to change there views, NEVER, why would we when 90% of the mods want wenger to go

one message to people who i think are just having a moan for the sake of having a moan is if you dont like it then no one is forcing anyone to post here , now get a bloody life and stop whining ffs.

All sorts of companies that provide a platform for independent opinions seem to avoid legal action through disclaimers that views expressed are the sole property of the people expressing them. Why cant this work for the forum?the playing mantis wrote:I
As for the concern that people interrupted the views of the forum as those of the Gooner fanzine as a whole, well surely that could easily have been stopped by prominent discliamers and indeed a pop up when you click forum, to the tune of: "the views expressed on here are not necessarily the views of the gooner fanzine, and are just a place for independent minded supporters to express their OWN views on all things Arsenal"

Well thats not what the message seemed to be from Mike when the old forum shut down. That there was too much infighting, opinions were getting too extreme and i dont just mean the Wenger out stuff. Have posted on the Herd for years and the opinions on there can be as extreme as anything on here i can assure you, but its a forum and everyone entitled to their opinion without it being desensitivised by the PC brigade but wanted to see the difference over here. And you will be please to know i wont be posting in the arsenal topic becuase after reading some of it i know i wouldnt mix with the sort of fans on here and probably the same people i see at games at the weekend and wonder what they are doing there.REB wrote:YellowRibbon wrote:My understanding is that a forum is a place for opinions on the arsenal and any other subject matter. Irish Gooner wrote:I really dont understand or agree with the fact one person can do what he wants with this forum even if it is against the views of the regular posters. In essence this is just like Wenger at the club, having one person in complete and utter control accountable to nobody.
You dont get a great reception here Mike but I'm not being funny here, the forum has been taken away for 5 weeks at least and it has returned unrecognisable to the old one. As such its not a surprise everyone isnt happy with this. One poster in particular has become a moderator and I can see he is already relishing in dishing out warnings and threats for no reason.
The fact is this forum is no different to the official forum. The one we all slagged for years. And another group RedAction many of whom were never favourites on here succeeded in closing the forum down.
I cant see much of a future for this forum in its current state. I guess thats life and we all have to move on at some point.
What he said.
I'm an irregular poster on here but the place has become increasingly anodized since I first started reading/posting to the point where it's now like some offshoot of arsenal.com/pravda. Remember reading some guy who posted theories that the gooner had sold out to the club blah blah, thought he was a cospiracy loon but now I'm not so sure

Yellow, with all due respect, that is a crock of shit - new members are always welcome on here and differing opinions is good too but to make "demands" as to how the forum should be after only 9 posts in total to date and to insult many of the members on here too is a bit cheeky imo. Many of us regulars have voiced our concerns at what we perceived to be a concession to people making demands who are not even regulars on here but what you are doing is the very same principle albeit that you are opposing their demands.

Firstly, saying i wouldnt mix with the mjority of fans on here is not insulting. Another opinion which isnt right in the eyes of some people. Secondly, just becuase i havent posted much doesnt mean i dont log on and read through topics, 6 months you will see i have been here, not long compared to some people, but long enough to have a view of topics on here and as i said i post on the Herd and wanted to see the difference. Thirdly, saying that no swearing and being run by the PC brigade with these new "rules" is hardly making demands. Blocking out swearing seems petty and no need for it. Will the mods be texting the "grassing up" service at emirates now when the scum are referred to **** and or someone says fuck off. The forum seems to be turning in to the one on the Arsenal forum where you couldnt say a bad word against the club and everyone had to lick the arse of that fat yank bird with the stupid ******.
