IS GAZIDIS OUR HARRY
IS GAZIDIS OUR HARRY
GREETINGS ALL.
As you know in the course of his trial it emerged that redknapp received a percentage of transfer fees. while agreed by mandaric, the potential for conflict of interest is obvious as redknapp could decide to sell a player to maximise personal profit even if sale is contrary to club's best interest. it is astounding any sane owner would agree to such an arrangement.
so far as i understand the situation to be, gazidis' bonuses are entirely based on club profit and not on success of team. if this is so and if he is empowered at all regarding transfer budgets and this normally falls within the remit of a chief executive, there is real possibility of conflict of interest between what is best for success of team and what is best for gazidis.
so rvp goes in summer; nasri fab last summer; all replaced by b-list players profits increase as does does gazidis bonus but are these transactions in best interest of team and us the fans.
and if you want to argue that a successful team increases profits, as things are, it is not so important to gazidis as so much potential to increase turnover in other ways eg trips to nigeria which definitely are not in best interests of team.
gazidis theoretically could walk from club at any time- with fat bonuses in his pocket leaving behind probably our worst team/ squad since pre graham days.
its for this reason i have implored likes of gooner ed to at least challenge gazidis but sadly the editor of the gooner prefers to concentrate all his energies on the sack wenger campaign but hopefully his recent unfortunate episode will energise him.
i maintain that gazidis' presence with his empty notebook of contacts, unlike dein's encyclopedia, is a liability that will hold team performance back far more than anything wenger does because i believe gazidis has more control over the purse strings than he or wenger will admit; he for selfish reasons, wenger out of blind loyalty to the club.
so remember if rvp goes gazidis profits and that cannot be good.

Re: IS GAZIDIS OUR HARRY

Haven't got time to read it now, but I'm looking forward to the first Roly thread of the new forum!

Re: IS GAZIDIS OUR HARRY
I have it on good authority that Gazidis and Wenger squirrel their bonus funds into a bank account, opened in the name of Mike Francis. The account is held in the off-shore tax haven of Cork (see My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding for clarification on the tax advice received). A problem arose recently when they found out that Mike was allowing his mate Kevin to deposit ill-gotten tout money into the said account, and they quickly informed the boys in blue. They have now moved the money into Mr Gun's old charity account and have re-named said account Roly Poly 18.

Where did you find this information Roly? Please let us have the details unless of course they are just an idea you've made up to continue your fight with Gazidis and gooner edrolypoly wrote:so far as i understand the situation to be, gazidis' bonuses are entirely based on club profit and not on success of team. if this is so and if he is empowered at all regarding transfer budgets and this normally falls within the remit of a chief executive, there is real possibility of conflict of interest between what is best for success of team and what is best for gazidis.

Think the theory is possible, but not watertight, because whilst the transfer budget might be the remit of Gazidis, it is Wenger who decides how to spend it.
Gazidis will also have to justify his budget to the board. A board who do not take share dividends.
It is also very possible that Wenger can go to the board and ask for the budget to be increased.

Re: IS GAZIDIS OUR HARRY
never mind whether or not gooner ed is in the pockets of gazidis( it will be interesting see if gooner ed is treated differently from other fans over the appalling incident the other night), i am more concerned as to whether or not those who posted flippant replies are gazidis agents.
what other explanation can there be for the apathy and lack of interest as to whether or not gazidis and his cronies are acting in best interest of team results and success.
whether or not directors receive dividends have any of you checked the accounts to see size of wages they are paying themselves.
gazidis is laughing because effectively you protect him from criticism and blame wenger for everything. and dont think the club does not monitor these forums . so, no criticism of gazidis and cronies= safe job= big bonuses regardless of team performance = rvp gone = wenger in or out no change no trophies
if you think getting rid of wenger is the answer you are wrong in the sense that while likes of gazidis are in place more concerned about personal bonuses than team success nothing will change.
this is why i have called on gooner ed to show leadership but he is more concerned about wenger and his own personal issues which is a shame because he has the ability and intelligence to do so - as i say he is like an editor of a national newspaper who refuses to challenge, or comment on, the government of the day on important issues that affect all.
dont be surprised if all the early transfer news eg podorski is a con to secure season ticket renewals and on time.

its a matter of regret that you are so intellectually limited that you can only express your disagreement with my well thought out and considered views by resorting to personal abuse. I had been led to believe that during the weeks the forum remained closed, that you would be using the time constructively to educate yourself. sadly, it appears i was mis-informed. i make these observations while confirming i totally respect you.
i trust the moderators will be handing out to you a severe rebuke albeit in simple enough language that you may understand.
i am sure mr gazidis takes comfort in you being one of his disciples

If you are so concerned by this, then try to change Gazidis's bonus to one that is solely linked to our league position and cups won, rather than revenue and profit.

i wish i could but what i dont understand is why you are so unconcerned as indeed is gooner ed as indeed appears to be most who use this forum. obviously in augie`s case it may be the intellectual limitation referred to above but what is your excuse.
its an absolute scandal that likes of gazidis are indifferent as whether team is successful but it appears i am a voice in isolation.
rather than writing match reports that anyone could write and rather than using the website to complain about personal ill fortune, gooner ed should be asking serious questions on this issue but he wont - still at least he will get to keep his season ticket(and rightly so ) unlike other gooners (wrongly so) in similar predicaments but with less clout than him.

Re: IS GAZIDIS OUR HARRY
Roly do you know why many including myself are unconcerned about this? Its because no one knows what his bonus is based on!!!!! You claim to have some knowledge of which you wont disclose what it is or where it came from...... So what are we supposed to think??? he may have no bonus scheme, he may have a bonus scheme determined by league position, he may have a bonus scheme based on revenue, he may have a bonus determined by how many shirts we sell...... NO ONE KNOWS!!!! including you, when you give the undeniable and accurate proof then you might get more credence on your silly threads
